The upload control is written in a different file called 'uploader.php'. It's only the interface that is shown on 'upload.html' but i want the uploaded file to be shown on 'uploads.html'. So how would go about doing this. This is the first time i'm doing such a project so i am very confused.

thank you, it did work. the problem wasn't in the code. for some reason the web page and the images have to be in the same directory instead of having the images in an 'Images\...'directory.

hi,
yes i am using a WindowsForm. if i use a webclient, is there a way for reading the file from the source? e.g. if the file is located somewhere like http://www.website.com/zipfile.zip

hi,
i have tried the following:
Dim r As Integer
textbox1.Text = source
TextBox2.Text = "word1"
Checking_Site.Value = Checking_Site.Maximum
r = textbox1.Text.IndexOf(TextBox2.Text)
If r > 0 Then
form2.show
Else
form3.show
End If
but i don't know how to tell vb to add more words and find them individually. at the moment it is just looking for 'word1'.
p.s. checking_site is a progress bar which i also have on form1

no luck mate.can you copy my code from above and tell me how you are saying my code should look like please. i have it set up as below:
Try
Dim ipEntry As IPHostEntry = Dns.GetHostByName(TextBox1.Text)
Dim IpAddr As IPAddress() = ipEntry.AddressList
Dim i As Integer
TextBox3.Text = IpAddr(0).ToString()
Dim hostname As IPHostEntry = Dns.GetHostEntry(TextBox1.Text)
Dim ip As IPAddress() = hostname.AddressList
TextBox3.Text = ip(0).ToString()
Catch ex As Exception
End Try

if i change that to 'textbox2.text' then i get an error saying socket exception was unhandled whilst highlighting 'ipEntry As IPHostEntry = Dns.GetHostByName(TextBox1.Text)'
do you have solution?

ok, you and OriginalGriff have given me an answer which are logically correct. so let me refrase my question for you and lets see if you can give me another answer.
what would i need to look for to determine whether a website is safe or not? if i wanted to make an automated software which checks for malicious code. this time, without giving me examples.
does this question clear any doubts that i am a script kiddie?
