The only code I've in my Form1_Load event is:
<pre lang="vb">Me.BackgroundImage = My.Resources.wall</pre>
so I assume there's nothing that could change the thread in which the form is created...

Calling the method directly from the Form1_Load obviously works, but since the method has to do long operations, the performance of the application would be worsened.

Hi Sergey,
I try to be more specific: I would like to import, in a database that I have created, all the Google Chrome bookmarks. I know that the place where Google Chrome saves its bookmarks is somewhere on %APP_DATA%\Roaming\Google\Chrome\Bookmarks and the file (without extension) is written as a JSON file. I found on the internet a library to read JSON files (JSON.NET) but I can't adapt the library to my code.
I'm using VB.NET on Visual Studio 2012 (Win7).

Please let me know if I'm not clear and I'll try to be more exhaustive.

I think that because I read the article and I saw that the program saves Google Chrome bookmarks in the path of Internet Explorer. From there, it's easy to read them, but the program unfortunately didn't work as expected.

This is the article: How to Parse the Bookmarks File of Mozilla into a Datatable[^]

I have the same code of the tutorial, but when the tutorial add an item to the TreeView, I inserted the code for adding an item to a database.
This is the only thing I changed, but it doesn't work:
I get this exception:
Can not add or change record. In the "Folders" table you need a related record.
on this code:
cmdBK.ExecuteNonQuery()
note that cmdBK is an OleDbCommand.
