the problem lies when i'm retreiving the data into a view page if the time is changed for anyreason in the view page the calender wich point to the date of upload will not be functional thats why i was trying to change it

i want to select a raw from the gridview1 when this row is selected i want to take the EUsername as an argument to draw the second gridview2 so when another raw is selected the gridview2 change to chow the data of another table where Eusername is equal

the value in file path is nothing i don't understand why :S

no no error message but the value of Video is Null and the path isn't save but the video itself is transferred to the wanted directory

thank you sooo much it worked but i still have a slight of a problem as you can see i wanted to add the file path to my database table EmpData in the video field but when the save button pressed the file is uploaded to the file but the file path is not saved if you can help me in this i qill apreciate it and thank you again :)

i've saved it into a private sub Upload() to call it from the save button but when i press the button this MSG appears:
The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

dunno where is my mistake plz can anyone help ????
