Plan to make your own or you looking for some ready made code for it?

Wanted to know the kind of help he is looking for... to start on how to do it or to find him a link that has a sample. :)

I think he requested something."vertical tabs rather than standard Horizontal tabs ...". Wasn't that clear for you ?

It was pretty clear he wanted a 'Vertical tab'. But he also added, he said "I have searched google and everything I come accross doesn't seem to be correct or is otherwise some useless piece of information".

Thus, it was not clear on now if he was asking us to provide some link of 'Veritical tab' OR how to code for that.

You clear now? Question as well my comment!

Can we assume you are looking for something deeper than the Alignment property of the tab control? Haven't used one in a while, but I think that property will throw the tabs where you want them (left, right, top, bottom)? ...or am I mistaken?

Assuming you are using a TabControl in a Windows Form, you can set the direction of the tabs with the TabControl.Alignment[^] property.

5 - Good resources since the vertical tabs don't always do what you want them to. :)
