Hide Empty image icon IE Browser

I have added Image button in my application. I added alternate text for image button i did not give image url. when i run my application its working fine in google chrome but IE im getting alternate text with empty image how to hide that empty image icon in IE.

you want it show just alternate text? you dont want see any picture even default browser images at all? so why you dnt use something else like label?
