connecting mysql database from application to hosted database on the web

hi there is there any way to connect database from application to file being hosted on the net? if posible can i still use adodb connection for connecting my database over the net to my project??

Solution 1

You have to have a connection from where the code is running. So, if you had a VPN connection then yes, you could connect "over the internet."

but how can i connect my application to the web hosted database? is there an example or tutorial for that?

You have to be able to access it. There is no way around that. You'll have to ask your web hoster what the connection string should be.
