I want to create a windows service (or app) that asks the user to login into that service and sends the print job to printer only if, the login information is correct.

The main purpose is to- a) Authenticate the user, so that, unauthorised users cannot send printout to printer. b) To prepare a user wise log of printed documents and pages.

Please help...

Help you with what? You haven't shown us any effort on your part first. Where are you stuck? Do you want someone to write the code for you?

i have written a code but that, is just an event. It does not stop print job. I want t stop print job and resume it after user authenticates in the app.

This isn't going to be a Windows service app.

In fact, you don't have to write any code at all to do this!

A properly setup printer and security configuration will already stop people from using the printer AND do it WITHOUT the user having to type in any credentials!

The printers used by client do not have such feature. So we are planning to applying this security and logging mechanism...
