How do I get PHP certificate?

Hi there,
I am working as Php developer. I want to improve my knowledge and get PHP certification from reputed Institute or something like that. My questions are :

1) From where i can get best or valued certification (like Microsoft for .NET developer)?

2) I google Zend and w3school sites for PHP certification.
In case of Zend, I can't find my country (India). Is it available in India??
In case of w3school, they mention that exam will be done with online basic. I need to get any supervisor so I will not cheat in the exam and after Exam... supervisor will sign on that certificate. I just can't understand why this is?

3) Is PHP certification will help me for get better career opportunity?

Sorry, I think this is off-topic for this forum. And I never heard that certification was ever related with "improving knowledge" or even helped anyone.

Knowledge and experience are far more important then pieces of paper. When you apply for a job very few employers will ask about certificates, they will be far more interested in what actual development work you have done.

In 40+ years I was never once asked about any certifications; only about what experience I had.

I would not argue about that. In bangladesh, nobody asked me either.

Yes, Certification is not a big issue I know... but one of my friend who is .NET developer. When he started to searching a new job as a fresher level; everyone ask him about any certification form Microsoft.

So that's why this Question rise in my mind.
