Actually, there was no [x] in the upper left corner, just the AdChoices in the upper right corner.
Do you still have that [x] functionality? I don't see it on any of the ads right now.
Maybe it's a browser thing. I will check it out in Chrome.
Of course now it is not showing that stalking car ad anymore. It's as if they know...
[EDIT]
Yeah, it looks like the little [x] is missing on the ads in my IE 11.0 on Win7 64-bit.
I see it in Chrome and Firefox.

The [x] is only there for ads that we identify as being from a remnant provider. The ads we server directly from our Developer Media division are hand picked (and trust me - I'm picky) and don't have the moderation option.

Sure, I realize that. However, I found a couple of identical ads in the three different browsers and in IE, the [x] was not there. Bottom line, I do not see the [x] in the upper left corner on any ads when browsing CodeProject using IE. Could it be a setting on my side?
I have a screen shot of the three browsers showing the same ad, but I need a place to put it (I should work on upping my Author or Authority points so I can store files in my personal area here on CP).

Yeah - IE has issues. Lots of issues.
I'll see if we can get some time to work around those issues.
IE users are a continually shrinking fraction of our users so non-critical fixes get delayed on that browser.

The "Submit" button in the "Have a Question or Comment" box seems randomly not to work. If I post a comment and press submit it sometimes just closes the box but the posted comment does not appear. I have tried resubmitting but to no avail. If I refresh the page the comment still does not appear: so where does it go? This is definitely random as I have posted comments that do appear immediately.

This happened to me the other day. But has since been working fine. It was reported earlier in this forum as well. Bugs and Suggestions[^]

It seems like QA might be having its time of the month. Depending on its mood, it seems to be crediting the responses or not - I've had 2 credited, and 3 not over recent days.
Cheers,
