I understand your point. If I was not familiar with CodeProject I would be annoyed as well.
CodeProject is a community of developers and offers an infinite amount of free advice from very experienced developers. The content is worth a great deal. When you understand it from that point of view then asking someone to register is not hard to understand.
There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

Hello there. Today I could not find an appropriate forum for posting question regarding ffmpeg usage. I think a new forum named OpenSource Products or similar could be added for discussion on open source tools and libraries. Thanks for your thoughts.

I don't see anything offending. Nor do I see an appropriate category for it. Why would one want to delete it ? Though I posted the question in "Quick Answers" as well.

The "ooops" implied you might have reconsidered, not that it was abusive. (Though some do consider posting the same thing in multiple places as abuse, since it duplicates work)
I was just offering to clear up what you implied was a mistake, is all.

My posts are not appearing (in the Lounge) and I'm getting -1 points for each of them.

Yes. This is happening to me as well. I am sure Bob went on strike.

Nothing to be to worried about.
It seems the anti-spam filter is being a bit cranky today and is sending everything to the moderation queue.
I'm sure once Chris had a good talking to it, it will all be cleaned up and sort itself out

Yes, just wait. Currently there is an issue with the Moderation Queue already reported below. That is why everything is behaving crazy.
Ignore those. It will be fixed soon.

So one automatically gets negative points for being automatically moderated? That's automatically unfair.

Same here, negative points for every post I make, answers too; not only just the discussion threads of 1 point.
Hopefully, it gets fixed soon.

It would be nice to have some sort of message saying that your message has been posted but is up for review in the moderation queue.
Seeing as there are currently some issues with it, I posted a reply to a message in the lounge, after returning to the lounge and not seeing my message I posted it again (after that I figured I'd check sugs & bugs forum).
I know it's only temporary and the current problem will be fixed soon enough, but even for those messages that really should go to the queue it might be good to see the reason why it's not visible in the forum yet.

Yes - good idea. It happens with QA answers (you get a "pending" status at the bottom), so there is a mechanism for it of some form already.

I am guessing that the filters are not working properly and everything is going through moderations.
When I say Everything, I mean Q&A Posts, Spam Reports, Messages in forums and Discussion Boards.
Even, after I post this, it might go to the moderation queue before being published...

Yes, the system is broken. If you are able to authorise messages then you can do it from a separate tab in your browser. If not then you will have to wait for one of us to do it for you. We need a special "wake up, Chris!" button on the home page.
