This has been periodically suggested and is always rejected.
The main reason is that these "chats" tend to be private defeating the purpose of the forums/ Q&A, which are to provide searchable answers to questions as if you've had a problem, you can bet your bottom dollar someone else has too.
The other thing is, as an [albeit increasingly irregular] answerer, I don't want the ability for someone I've tried to help to pester me, and some users are really persistent, especially when trying to get their homework/exam work done for them.

Hi Team,
Check Azee.Raja - Professional Profile[^].
Here it is showing points on his Summary Block under About Azee.Raja. But at the same time the right side Profile panel is completely out of sync as it shows blank and zero values under his "Contributions" section.
Thanks,
Tadit

The problem seems to affect all profiles.

Both downloads in this article fail to download.
eg. winlock_source.zip produces msg "unable to download download.aspx from www.codeproject.com"
Yes I am registered and loged in.

Yes that is the article.
With IE8 it brings up the warning bar at the top and if "download file" is selected it produces the said error message in a new tab. Its as if "download.aspx" is being downloaded and not the zip file.
I downloaded it using an old Firefox browser on another system. It still fails on IE8.
As a sidenote the zip file is missing the winlockdll.def file so the project does not link.
I sent a msg to the owner but have not yet received a reply.

Be patient; it can take some time until you get a reply.

The VS project file for the DLL part of this project erroneously has the .def file in the project. As cdecl is used elsewere this file is not required. To fix the linking problem caused by this duplication, remove the reference to the .def file from the project. Thanks for a nice example.

CodeProject should have regular highly/heavily and SERIOUSLY moderated discussion threads on current "technology" events.
This would not be an "open" forum, but a closed one where only CP (from CP user suggestions) approved subject are posted.
This should/could not be a forum with a lot of topics, maybe one topic per week/2 weeks to not overburden the moderation process.
Moderation should be done by a human person.
This could be interesting and add a new value to CodeProject.
I'd rather be phishing!

I have no problems with any other sites, and everything was ok before, but things are on a go slow with the site at the moment.
Page responses are taking on average 15-20s to respond to a request, worst has been 1.4minutes, but then the content loads quickly (ms). Pings are as normal and looking at the dev tools it is the initial request response that is slow.
Edit: Web04 appears to be ok, its page requests being handled by Web01 and Web02 are painful...
Sunday Edit: All appears to be back in order.

That was an odd one. One of the servers just got up on the wrong side of the bed Saturday morning.
Much like its admin.

The site was incredibly slow today at around midday UK time. It did the same thing at the same time last Friday. It's as if someone's scheduled a database rebuild job for when the US is asleep.

Hi,
When someone replies to either posts and/or comments I do not want response notifications appearing in my corporate e-mail account. Although I have this setting enabled I am receiving response notifications to Q/A comments.

Unfortunately this is a bug I also brought up[^], although not exactly what you are saying.
I was trying to say that I wanted notifications to be given on the CP website (red numbers next to your name), but didn't want all the emails that went along with it. Unfortunately turning one off turned them both off, seems you can't get the red notification without also getting an email. Oddly enough I only get emails for comments to Q&A, not anything in the forums.
It got to the point that I just set up an automatic rule to delete email that came in from CP with specific words in the title, I think something like "A response to your comment has been posted" or something similar. This keeps my mailbox a little cleaner until Chris can find out which hamster is running backwards.

Thanks.
I was able to find the setting that controls the notifications. Seems strange to have the 'Send me an e-mail if someone replies to the message' setting on the 'Forums' tab and the Q/A, Article and another 'General Forum' setting are on the 'Newsletters and Emails' tab.
Best Wishes,
-David Delaune

Noticed the same. I think some maintenance work is going behind the scene because there are other issues also e.g. empty list of questions some time. Hope it will be fixed soon.

Same for the Our community section on the start page.
You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn't want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named "Bush", "Dick", and "Colon."
