Yeah, Sean or Chris or one of the editors should be able to change the author ids on the articles so they all use the same one.

Yes, I would like to have all the articles under this profile (author id = 4842226)

Check your profile settings to see if you have enabled the option to receive an email if someone replies to your messages.

To reproduce:
1. Search for an article, a Reference or a Tip.
2. Click the link of your choice. [the bug is only after a search link it clicked]
3. Click the top 5Star statistics image to vote.
4. [you are taken to the bottom part box for the comments&voting] if you pick a vote, say 5, and click on the little x to avoid commenting,
<a href="#" id="clear-rate_ctl00_RateArticle_RCD" title="close">x</a>
you will be bounced back to the top part where it's asking
"Not quite what you are looking for? ... "
My guess is that you probably have messed up the anchor

I was able to edit it, because the 'Who can edit' dropdown was set to 'Gold members'. So I edited it and I did set the Status to 'Closed'. But I agree that you should be able to report a Reference.

I noticed recently that I had been signed out of CodeProject on my PC.
So today I decided to go to the sign in page and make sure I click the "remember me" option.
But alas, the option is nowhere to be found.
Any reason this has been removed? Or am I looking at the wrong page?

PS: I did a search on this forum, the closest match took me to the middle of the discussion, when I pressed the Prev link to move to the previous 10 comments, it took me straight to the beginning and gave an error about the date out of range - weird. Forgive me if this is a repeat post.

I had to switch to desktop mode to see the subject textbox completely. On mobile mode its width is 0. (Using Windows Phone 8 on Nokia Lumia 720)

Some (silly) users post their (or others) email in discussions occasionally.
Now, usually OriginalGriff would post a warning on such a behaviour, but crawlers are usually able to pick up the original message till (and if) the users edits those.
What you could do is replace a raw email.
One possible solution is to replace the '@' char with a small gif that looks the same.

I'm actually of the mind that protecting emails is now a pointless exercise. You are on spam lists. Even if you created a new email account today, it's on a spam list, somewhere.
We will continue to hide email addresses out of courtesy, but if someone posts their email address in a question then first, it won't make a huge difference to their spam, and secondly there's a point at which a person needs to take responsibility for their own actions. If they choose to post their email address then that's their perogative.
The biggest issue I see with posting your address is that you implicitely invite others to send you unsolicited emails, such as requests for help or for code. Many people truly do invite the world to ask them questions, many don't. I leave it as an exercise for the members as to which they prefer.

What if a question validator would auto switch the @ so that it doesn't get published in the first place
OR
you could popup a "dude, are you crazy?" following Griff's copy paste for these cases explaining just why it's not a good idea etc.

As Chris says, people need to take responsibility for their actions. Life is full of risks, learn to deal with it.

THE main purpose of CP as I see it the logo states, is to help those who code.
So searches for problems are the face of this site.
There are far too many of terrible titles around, e.g.:
need a help for my Final year project[^]
javascript help php help[[^]
Once a valid question is answered and is deemed as useful and educational.
I think the Title should be reviewed by a CP professional, those Qs can be marked for Title editing/approval and be handled by the elderly CPers.

It is already possible. The same privilege that grants us the editing of the question or answer, allows us to edit the Title and/or the Tags of the question.
The main question is... how many of those questions which had such a title are actually good?
M.D.V.
If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

I know it's possible,
what I am suggesting is that it will be tagged as pending for us to pick up after recognized as such.
Some Qs are actually pretty good, and might just "go below the radar" for searches, and could thus be "saved from oblivion" by the editing CPer.
Other Qs who are trash, will be deleted by the CPer.
If Chris throws in a couple of points for doing this, it would probably be answered with thrill by the gang, don't you think?

Given the number of repeated "How to" and "I want" questions, I don't think the search feature is used that much, especially by the people who should be using it.
