Chris,
I tried to visit an URL from this forum (http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/2842798/How-to-Read-Write-DBF-file-In-Csharp-use-IO-Stream.aspx.[^]) and because of the trailing period, I stumbled upon a 404 error.
But why does it show the scary default runtime 404 message. Can we have a web.config key with customsettings to catch it and display friendly tips and navigation back to appropriate resources? I am getting the following message:
Server Error in '/' Application.
The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.
Requested URL: /Messages/2842798/How-to-Read-Write-DBF-file-In-Csharp-use-IO-Stream.aspx.

Every forum like 'Lounge' has a two-liner description right? How about having these shown as a tooltip in the Menu Item that is displayed too. Like when you highlight Community -> Lounge and the mouse is over it, the small description which appears atop Lounge page should appear as tooltip.

Not every forum as a two line description, and I'm not convinced having a tooltip of "C# discussions" for the C# discussions forum adds a lot of value.

I assume you mean you want to include your source code in a question your are asking, correct?
Simple, you just copy it from your IDE (or Notepad, or whatever) and paste it into the editor. When you paste it, it should give you the option to format it as a code block. You can then modify the PRE block it creates for your with a language (that way, it syntax highlights it correctly for you).
Here is what that looks like:
string str = "5";
int x = Int32.Parse(str);
And here's what the HTML markup for the above snippet looks like (notice the lang="cs" , which syntax highlights according the C# rules):
<pre lang="cs">string str = "5";
int x = Int32.Parse(str);</pre>
Remember, do not upload the entirety of your code. Only paste as small a snippet as is necessary to demonstrate your problem. And ensure your snippet is as clear as possible.

Hi ,
I am looking for an article that had the title "How to Read/Write DBF file In C# use IO/Stream (not OLEDB ..). It appears in the search results in google, but it says it is no longer available and has been archived.
Can somebody please provide me the article. How do I go about getting it again?

That's a message, not an article. I can't see mention of an article, downloads or archiving.

In Questions/Answers sections if i delete my answer,there are no options to enable it again.Are there?
If i delete an answer,then want to update it and publish it again what should i follow? Currently i think i need to give it as a new answer.There should be an re-enable option to make it better.

I think Chris should at least give this a try. It could be the monthly competition with a huge prizeand recognistion if anyone could filter everything and anything I threw at it.
