When you are in the Reply page, you can click on (View) at the end of the OP's subject line, to open a new tab showing the thread, if necessary.

Good point, Richard, and I was aware of that option, but that option still leaves you switching back-and-forth between two browser-tab pages.
Which costs more: one default-click on "View," or one context-click, and a menu selection, on a browser tab ? Is that a koan ?
And, yet, in QA, we see there's already a working solution to being able to reply while seeing all the content in the context in which you are replying in.
And, I, personally, like that option.

I don't have particularly strong views on this, but I think your suggestion is a good one.

There's an extremely simple and obvious way to fix this. I need maybe half a day or a day (or a week and I'll do it properly!) to implement.
It's been on my TODO for years and years

Can't the inline editing from CPHog be implemented as a standard feature ? I am not so familiar with what Greasemonkey makes possible that is not genuinely in the browser.

When I edit other peoples question, the block:
A few simple rules when posting your question.
Have you searched or Googled for a solution?
.....
Pops up and covers a part of the field theat the original question is asked in. Makes editing a little more troublesome...

Fixed. I'll have a new release out sometime today.

Dear CP,
I'm not sure if there ever was a favicon on CP but just now I noticed that is missing.
Cheers

It's probably just at your end I'm afraid. I can see the favicon loud and proud.

Well I tried to refresh a page with a nice CTRL + F5 but still nothing.

Firefox kills off favicon in URL bar[^]
My understanding is that Chrome has gone the same way, though I saw reference to the favicon being brought back in v22.

Thanks

Generally, thanks - you put in a lot of work for us, and it isn't always appreciated.
Specifically, thanks for removing the instructions that stopped us seeing the answers we typed into QA! Much better!

I just posted my WTOTD message in the Lounge from my Samsung S-III and I noticed none of the voting links are there. I think Chris is still upset after people downloaded his Apple news.

There is no voting option in mobile version of CP. You may click 'Full site' link on top-left corner if you wish to access all the features.

The callout is blocking the textbox at the right so when you type it goes under the tooltip and you can't see what you have typed in the QA forum (browser is firefox 15.0).
