We have a more automated method we'll be adding in the next few days.
For now we'll do it old school.

Before:
I am reading an article. I want to download the sample. The login page appears. Once logged in, the page redirects to previous page where the article was existing. Here I click download button and the download starts. (Actually it should start download, instead of going to article page.
Now:
I am reading an article. I want to download the sample. The login page appears. Once logged in, the page redirects to the home page of CodeProject, where I have to search my article again.
Suggestion:
The login page must be a small Window that pops up in front of the web page and it should get the details and set the login status of existing pages.

Go to Your Settings[^], tick the checkbox titled "Remember me so I don't have to log on again", and click the button titled "Save my Settings". That should keep you logged in all the time.

Can you please send me the URL of the article you were viewing (or does this happen on all articles?)

This happens to all articles. I am using incognito in Google Chrome (to avoid filling history in my hard-drive). Hence I cannot store the login credentials in my Chrome. But this behavior was good previously with CodeProject site.

We've always used cookies (as with every other site) to persist login. If you're using incognito mode then Google explicitly states:
Chrome won’t save the following information:
Cookies and site data
So your login won't be persisted.

Dear Chris Maunder,
Thanks for the reply. But I have to explain this clearly. I don't want Chrome to store my login in cookies... But within one incognito window, I am reading an article, trying to download, it redirects to Login page (on the same incognito window). Once I login, it should go to the article page again, but now its going to home page. Previously, with incognito window, it goes to article page and not not. It's ok and I am used to it now. I open the download page in "Open in new tab" and managing this.

When I click on "My Bookmarks" in the dropdown below my name, I get taken to my bookmark page. Looking at the tabs at the top, the focus is on the leftmost tab titled "Forum Message", but the display shows the bookmarked articles. In order to get the forum message bookmarks I need to switch to a different tab and then click the "Forum Message" again.

Dear administrator
I am not sure this is the right place, but could you delete my account? I do not need
this account any more.

I have 143 "critical" messages in the Bitdefender message board.
"Codeproject has tried an SQL-Injection attack. We have blocked the connection to avoid, that the attacker gains access to sensitive data"
About the situation... it is not a big deal. Add CP to the whitelist and problem solved.
But I thought I should tell you, just in case.

could you provide any details as to the page or code that is 'attacking'.
While I am sure that our code doesn't do this, it may be a something pulled in with a supporting js library, or you have something on your system injecting something, in either case it is something we need to address and quickly.

First of all, sorry about the delay.
I am sure CP is not the problem. Previous antivirus never complained about.
About the messages... That's all what the antivirus gave me. I can't see anything else. I am trying to solve another bug on their side and I am in the process of re-installing and preparing an Email to them by opening an "issue" ticket.
If I manage to find any more info I will contact you as soon as I can.

On the other hand...
I thought SQL-Injection is only dangerous for Web-Sites with databases on the background, not for the user surfing a site. Or am I missing something?

SQL Injection is only one form of injection attack, there is also XSS injection, and some other less common ones: What are Injection Attacks? | Acunetix[^]
Not all of these are anything to do with the site, some can be performed via browser extensions for example.

ok...
But the messages were about "SQL-Injection" 100% sure.
pity is that solve the other bug I had to uninstall and remove the device from the list. So I have them no more.
I'll be checking next days and probably post a screenshot if it happens again

How would an antivirus spot SQL Injection, given that is normally instigated from the server code, not the client? Very strange ...

I know... that's what bothers me. And why I said "false positives", it makes not really sense for me.
I edited my rant having the messages in an opened window.

You're not suggesting an anti-virus manufacturer would report spurious messages to make people feel more protected, are you?
