I agree. Would be good to have a sticky post with the most frequently asked questions.
I just updated the CodeProject Member FAQ[^] for the new position of the account closing options. This will hopefully reduce the number of such requests here.

Hi, i've created a codeproject account and now i want to delete it... it is possible?
Thank you

Yes, go to Your Settings[^], select the Privacy tab, and choose the relevant option to close your account.

I've had this a few times recently, but assumed I did something wrong.
But ... I've definitely posted an answer to this question twice already: System.nullreferenceexception: object reference not set to an instance of an object.[^] And they show on screen as posted.
Here's the sequence:
Press the Submit button, and it shows it as posted:
And then refresh:
Gone again...

In case one pastes www.codeproject.com into
a.) Q&A - Answer
It does nicely convert it into
CodeProject - For those who code[^]
b.) But not in Spam&Abuse
CodeProject - For those who code
c.) Not in a reply in e.g. in the lounge. It
CodeProject - For those who code
d.) ... and most probably also no 'nice conversion' in many other places
Why not? It would be very convinient to have the same "paste expirience" like for case a.) in all the places
[Edit]
request/plea/Appeal/... oh English...
Anyway what I like to explain, it is not a demand/Claim/....simply a request
I give up with the English Language

You mean when pasting a link to spam and abuse: Spam and Abuse Watch Discussion Boards[^] (seems to work).
Or pasting a link in a message posted to that forum? (Checked: works for me)
The lounge: The Lounge[^]
And posting a link in a message posting in the lounge: works for me too.
Unfortunately I can't replicate your issues.

FYI: Unchecking "Use Markdown formatting" solved the issue.

Works fine for me everywhere. Have a look at the four checkboxes at the bottom of a forum message when you write one, to see if the Treat my content as plain text, not as HTML is checked. That setting, and Default paste options, is also in Your Settings[^] under the Forums and QA tab.

Tried your suggestion, but still the same thing.
Looks that the problem is on my side.
Thank you anyway

Do you have the "Use Markdown formatting" option ticked?

Yes I had it ticked
Unchecked it is working now, thank you very much.
Btw: Strange things happen when I paste "www.codeproject.com " instead of "www.codeproject.com"

Have seen such too in the past.
Wait some time and check the homepage again for pending articles. I guess it happens when the article has been just approved or rejected, or the author has opened it again for editing. Here I would go for the latter according to the message.

This project came through moderation: Constructors in C# - A Tutorial[^]
When I look at Marc's privileges it states next to a green tick:
Quote: Create an article without requiring moderation
Does this not apply to projects maybe?
I can't ask the author directly because at the bottom of the article\project:
Quote: Comments are only available once an article is submitted for publishing.

Yesterday I upload my first article "Rodney - A long time coming autonomous robot (Part 1)". When I previewed the article all was fine but now it is published the zip downloads and all the image links are broken. The links point to a "KB/mentor/1249436" directory. Can this be fixed? Did I miss a step?
Thanks

You can either try updating the article yourself and re-uploading the images, or email the images and a link to your article to submit@codeproject.com and we'll fix it for you.
