I forgot my very old password to DriveByCoder account.
Password reset emails to sokane@bowmain.com
Saw a comment about mass emailers to gmail.com having to satisfy some requirements or other I did not understand. Could it be that?
sokane@bowmain.com is redirected to grumpy.middle.aged.guy@gmail.com
Using Thunderbird email client.
Had to create new account to ask this question. Tag is not correct also.
Current account is DriveByCoder2
What I have tried:
Tried 'Forgot password' which is supposed to have sent an email, which didn't arrive/appear.
Not in 'Spam'
Checked other emails arrive at sokane@bowmain.com
Had to create new account to ask this question. Tag is not correct also.

If you search for messages and you click on the links to them, they are jumping only to the first page of the lounge.
If the message is in the first page, you jump to the message itself. If not... only to the first page of the lounge (other forums not tested)
It is not that the messages got deleted or nuked. If you change pages manually, you can find them. This sadly is unrealistic, if a message is some weeks or months old.

I am not able to recreate this issue.
Could you please provide an example query that has this issue.
Thanks.

Text2Image is running well on my Windows system as service with Cuda. I wanted to have a running installation on my Unraid Server and decided to take an available docker container and install the Text2Image via install module feature. I tried a lot of different possibilities (with Cuda and without Cuda, versions 2.6.2 and 2.6.5 with Cuda 11 and 12 also Beta version 2.8.0).
The installation of Text2Image works fine but when trying to generate an image from text, I always get another error depending on the installation environment. How to proceed to get Text2Image running within Docker on Linux?

Times are a changing. Thar be some new kids on the systems programming block. I'm sure everyone has heard of Rust. There's also the new up and coming contender called Zig.
Would be cool to have message boards for these, so I don't have to constantly annoy folks in the lounge when learning Zig.
According to the 2023 Stack Overflow Developer Survey Zig isn't that popular yet. And GHE has over 5,000 contributors to Rust while Zig is only at 900. It's still really new.
So, I understand if no board would be created for specifically for Zig, but perhaps a general purpose systems programming one that would include any newer systems language like Rust or Zig, perhaps while not forgetting our old friends C/C++?
Oh, I should say that Zig has raised $21.1M in their latest round of funding. So, it's gonna grow and mature. It's just not there yet.
Edit: I was wrong about the funding. Wrong company. Looks like they're doing ok-ish according to their 2024 Financial Report, but certainly not $21.1M.

I second this motion. We should have a dedicated board for systems programming.
The difficult we do right away...
...the impossible takes slightly longer.

Sounds like a good idea. A lot of systems programming is done in C or C++, but the introductory post could state that posts about Rust or Zig are also welcome.

Yeah, was worried about the slight ambiguity with the existing C/C++ forum, but maybe if the were partitions into systems programming and I dunno something like Windows (MFC, Win32, etc.) development.

Not only that, the introductory post would have to caution against C/C++/Rust/Zig flame wars.

It's one of questions that's being targeted by spammers. Even though the spam never makes it through to the visible world, the solution number still increments.

"Check internet connection" might mean your network has gone from Private to Public and that could be a bad sign obviously ... or perhaps, as what happened to me before I updated my webbrowser, the "snooper" of the browser, because it was old and unpatched and attackable from the standpoint of malicious payloads, stopped resolving system parameters. In which case, the safe-side behavior was to deny "service" to the user.
(Hope I got most of that right ...)
I suggest updating/upgrading all webbrowsers.

Try again. I’ve increased the timeout on downloads.

Why such articles still stay in moderation? What is the idea behind that?

the only votes that "remove" from moderation are the upper ones, the lower ones in the "needs help" section, bring only a flag to the editors to check them up. They sometimes delete it, they sometimes repair and drive them to publication.
"Wrong type" is in the "needs help" cathegory. that means, either the author realizes about the votes and change it. Or CP Staff does it for him/her.
