Still not working for me too

If I add an @link in a forum message anyone with the username link would get a message that they've been mentioned in a message.
But if I post an email message to someone and add @chris-maunder in it, would you get that message as well?

Direct emails, no.

Maybe something to add to the todo list (low priority). I sent a private message today where I felt that it would've been nice if I could CC someone (you).

Forward it later?

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

Nah, wasn't that important.
I'll make a proper mail when I've sorted my thoughts together.

Please let me know if you see any weirdness around the forums, Quick Answers or Article posting systems, and also if you have any issues with moderating spam.
We've done a fairly major update to the spam handling system, which means it's slightly more vicious than previous. It now has a "show no mercy" mode and we're hoping it doesn't get too angry. To counter this, most of you have gained a little more protection from the spam filter. Swings and roundabouts...
Good luck.

I think I can see what you did.
I like it.

I have not observed any weirdness in the forums. Well there is a guy ranting about the MS VPN in The Lounge...
I am not sure I saw much difference in the handling of the spam wave that started Friday night (10:50 PM, US PDT). That wave was intense with a large number of new accounts each making a single post - later the accounts started doing multiple posts.
As far as I can tell, all posts were caught by the spam filter, but I did notice that a few of the members were killed off right away by @OriginalGriff, @Richard-MacCutchan, @daveauld, @taditdash and myself. However, I do not see the pattern, so I am wondering if that is working as intended. Here is a sample: Member Profile[^].
I am also wondering about member profiles that look like this: Member 12808573[^] and this Member 12808567[^]. Are they gone? Did the new spam filter AI take them out?

Yes these members' profile looks weird.

Something fishy with the voting system and listing the answers. Have a look at this thread[^]

.....because you do an amazing job, but, the amount of posts I make that go to the spam queue is starting to make this site unusable. One of the main pluses, and I'm talking solely about the Lounge here, use to be the 'live' interaction. Sending nearly every message to the filter, where it can take anything from 2 mins to 2 hours to approve ruins that instant feel. It seems to me like the first message I send on any given day always goes straight to the filter. After that 50%.
Is there not a way your filter can weight it to say "right I've previously flagged 20 of this guys messages as spam and on each time the community decided it wasn't, so this message probably isn't spam either."

Maybe it's your display name. Try using a real sounding name. Pomeray Peyton is a good alternative.

Thanks for the kind words and sorry this is painful for you.
Can you point me to specific posts of yours that have been trapped? We can investigate and see if we can make things smarter.

When pasting CP QA links, the title is not inserted anymore.
Example: [^].
It seems that only QA links are affected.

Cofirmed:
- Pasting a link to a QA question produces:
<a href="http://www.codeproject.com/Questions/1143578/Regular-expressions-to-match-month-and-year"></a>[<a href="http://www.codeproject.com/Questions/1143578/Regular-expressions-to-match-month-and-year" target="_blank" title="New Window">^</a>] - Pasting a link to a forum message produces:

Strange. It used to be like that for me, but recently (this week?) has gone back to posting the web page's title rather than the URL. In fact the link posted by Jochen shows that the pastings are now working. What do you see in that QA?
|
|
|
|
|
Most links are working. It just seems to be links to QA questions where the title doesn't get inserted.

Still cannot see an example in the link Jochen pointed to.
|
|

The example isn't in the link he pointed to - it IS the link.
Copy a link to a message, or a page on an external site, and paste it into a message. The page title is usually inserted as the link text. (If not, the URL is inserted as the link text.)
Copy a link to any QA question and paste it into a message. The link text is not inserted.
That's the bug.

No need to apologise. It took me a while to work out what he meant too.
