If we can have CPTV back and community can convert still relevant articles, to videos over time, do you think it will be good?
I personally will be so happy. I have been trying to learn ASP.Net web API and have found a lot of article and lots of good video tutorials. It got me wondering if all of CP article wealth could be made into nice little videos.
If not CPTV, how about a YouTube channel?

On your settings page (Profile - My Settings) is a checkbox named "Remember me so I don't have to log on again". If that is checked, you are logged in automatically.

Hi,
I want to change my display name from Rooney Bisht to Deepak Bisht but I am not allowed because it says it is already taken. This validation should be there for user name and not display name. Multiple people can have the same display name but should have different user name.
Now the problem is that lot of my friends don't trust me when I publish an article after looking at the name which is displayed(Rooney Bisht). They think someone else has written it.
Can this be looked as a defect/bug and fixed soon?

Err no. The display name is what is displayed and it's just going to be confusing. Suppose you started calling yourself Chris Maunder, how do you think that would look? People look at your name, and not at your member ID so there is too much room for someone to try and pass themself off as someone else.

Can we have a button that reports messages as reposts? So many people seem to dedicate their time to searching the forums and calling out anyone who posts anything that was ever posted before. It would save so much time if you could also have a feature that searches all previous messages for a closely matching content and show a list of them to choose from.
You could have a picture of Leslie Nielson as the button icon.
If you can pull it off, add a feature that gives a mild (non-fatal) electric shock to anyone who actually clicks it and pop up a message saying "get a life".
Either this, or show closely matching posts as the original poster types, à la SO, whichever is easier. My £0.02.

Why not? An extensive database search for each new post in the forums seems a good idea, what harm could it bring?

There are two types of repost:
- Questions which the user has posted multiple times in the same forum, in multiple forums, and/or in QA.
This just wastes everyone's time. The message will usually be down-voted, posts in QA will be reported as "repost", and the user will be told not to do it again. - Jokes, news, etc. which has been posted before.
These are mostly harmless, as are the "Leslie" responses. We're not really expecting you to have read and memorised every message that's ever been posted!

Wasn't there some method to highlight code within pre tags? Is it discouraged now?
The following doesn't seem to work (for obvious reasons, since the tags are interpreted as literal text)
The article editor shows the red version correctly when editing (in blog posts), but it reverts to the HTML source when published (didn't check the yellow one). Is this the intended behavior?

You need to use <span class="highlight">, not DIV.
