I provided answers to a couple of questions earlier today and gained +10 reputation for doing so, yet when my answer is downvoted I lose 16, is that normal?

This is the current stalemate over use of comment box versus answer box. To do the math on the gambit (one point for a comment or possibly minus six for a bad answer) and come up with a formal method to win at all rolls of that die precludes me from venturing into QA.
Other than to downvote Answers.

Yes, that is totally normal because if you post a helpful post, same user (with a weight of 8) would provide you with +40.
That is the voting system on CodeProject. The reputation system on CodeProject[^] has a lot of features, which are used to ensure that good content comes on top and bad content goes down. The weight is gained by users for being helpful to the community. +10 is just to add the answer post, for taking the pain to answer the user. -16 if you did not answer it well or helpful. That also depends on the user down-voting. Please look into the weights on that page.
I would suggest that you do not post answers to questions you have no idea about. Ignoring a question is best to avoid downvotes. A downvote of -16 is usually because your answer wasn't helpful.
I hope you understand.

Ah, that makes perfect sense. I hadn't contemplated that it could be down to reputation of the voter, and missed that in the information about reputation.
Thanks all for clarifying.

Asking a question will also land you a point deficit.

If like me you have a lot of "Notifications" - you might want to hover the mouse over the notifications count with the browser window narrower than standard: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B90_SQQe8qkAV2xwQTdsc1U4cWc/view?usp=sharing[^] and the highlighted menu item "covers" the notifications.
Just looks odd, that's all - It's not important!

It's a z-order error that I reported quite some time ago. I think this has been happening for at least two years now.

Can't believe we never spotted that before. All fixed at next deploy.

Chris, this problem has been going on for a lot time, like 3 months for now right after there were made enormous changes in the website layout and functionality.
The problem is that I cannot login to my account on a mobile device. I have tried the following browsers (with no success):
1. Google Chrome (v44.0.2403)
2. Opera Mini (this one is totally ruined browser now, skip it for testing)
3. Opera for Android (v30.0.1856)
4. Samsung's built in browser
None of them allow me to login using Facebook or Google+. However same function works perfectly on desktop. I can login using Google+ or Facebook (or other two services, LinkedIn and Twitter also which I don't use on mobile to log me in).
I thought it was a small bug with the browser or something, but it keeps going on like that and it has been ~3 months now.
One more thing, (I am not sure whether I discussed this before or not) the profile doesn't show reputation or profile picture on mobile. No matter even if I open "Full Site". I can still not see anything on the profile other than the 6 badges.
So, I guess these things need your attention.

Perhaps a screenshot of yours would help?

I would search in the archive for a screenshot that I took a while ago, at the moment I cannot as I cannot even login.

Log in using your email address and original password - if you can't remember it then they can reset it for you using the email as a guide.

Ah!
If I login on my phone instead of tablet, then even if I select "Full site" I get the same as you.
The divisions to the left and right are both missing.

True, there is something problem with the pixels or rendering. Chris might know. As I said, everything works just fine on desktop.

I'm not sure about the Login issue, but as per as the Profile picture/Full site is concerned, i can say that its by design. It had been raised in past by someone,i don't remember exactly. To me, it seems like when you switch to full site while on mobile, almost nothing seems to change. It remains as it is.

I did mention that I raised these problems (profile data and the ability to log in) before, with mild wordings because I thought it wasn't a problem.
By design, with no reputation details, no profile picture? I would like to raise it again. It was better before, as at least it was showing me everything that my profile should.
