I was just going to write a similar post because I noticed the spike in the Reputation graph of the author of that article. There is definitely something wrong.

Hi Team,
I normally bookmark all interesting articles and sometimes while looking for references, I go to my bookmarks and open articles from there. Lately, I have observed that when I open a bookmarked article, the "star" representing the bookmark on the right hand side of the article does not appear as solid. As a result, I often get confused, as to whether the article has been opened from bookmarks or not. Can you please look into this issue?

Showing an indication that an article has been opened from a bookmark list (as opposed to from anywhere else) isn't a feature we've implemented, nor, if I'm to be honest, is it something high on our priorities.
Sorry - I just can't see it as a killer feature.

In my article: Considerations on Efficient use of LINQ Extension Methods[^] I tried to use < and > entities in the Summary ("1-line description") specifically:
IEnumerable<T>
but it ended up with just the IEnumerable
It appears as if the <T> was stripped.
Thoughts?
Or am I imagining the whole problem...
(I'm pretty sure I used the markup in that part of the submission wizard.)
A positive attitude may not solve every problem, but it will annoy enough people to be worth the effort.

The user details appear in a box on the left hand side now, instead of just above the user name.

Can't replicate the behavior. Maybe a temporary glitch?
I will never again mention that Dalek Dave was the poster of the One Millionth Lounge Post, nor that it was complete drivel.

Aaah, I see. Compability View as in "F*ck it up to display old, crappy pages correctly"

I know. And it's just by chance I saw that. Somehow they (our sistem admins) put that option on for the Internet Terminal Servers per default..

Got it! It does that when, in IE9, you have the "Compatibility View" setting on. Turning it off removes the behavior..

When pasting a text into the discussion board textarea and attempting to continue typing one can find freezes of the browser tab for a few moments till the 'Paste As' dialog appears.

Possibly due to bad timing (server update) or IE.
Have you tried with a different browser?

You've got something nasty on your system. Are they floating over the bottom and LHS of the page?
Check for spamware and check what browser plugins you have running.

I say anyone who bundles stuff like that with installers should be arrested and charged with hacking/malware distribution/etc. Bundling these horrendous pieces of nasty scum should be made illegal and have a hefty fine associated with bundling them (e.g. USD 500,000.00 for the first offense, USD 1,000,000 for second, with 6 mo. jail time. Change values as appropriate for other kinds of malware).
What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

Here is something interesting I have seen.
If a user answer his own question and accept the answer and then delete the question from the answer then the added reputation points remains there. I think it should not be there or would be removed from total.
I do not fear of failure. I fear of giving up out of frustration.

This is a result of design. We *could* put in the logic to change this but it opens a can of worms.

I just had a look at the list of Q&A questions and the one directly at the top seem to have been edited by myself in the last hour (as of writing this of course).
The thing is unless I've subconsciously edited that post purely by using some sort of mind control, I'd say that never happened, but what do I know.
No I did most certainly NOT.png (4.8 KB)
