Can't you just re-add it?

OK, I'll try doing that again. Let's see if it will stick. I'm not hopeful.

Are you doing anything to your profile? eg editing it?

All I did (just before reporting the "loss of professionalism" bug some days ago) was add my LinkedIn url to my profile. That (IMHO) caused a recently added property (company size, IIRC) to be automagically set to null (unspecified), causing me become unprofessional. I haven't mucked with anything in my account since then other than accepting a coupon.

I understand what happened the first time, but I thought you mentioned your sig disappeared again (as in a few hours ago). If that was the case, do you recall what you were doing?
I can't reproduce the issue

I believe that was my misunderstanding. I (incorrectly) assumed setting/modifying a sig while entering a post would also cause that sig to be written to my profile. That's why I was surprised when the sig I entered appeared in my post but not automatically in successive replies.
The change in the way the sig now appears in the preview window only on first content also threw me off. I don't think this is how it used to work. IIRC, the sig was always visible in the preview window.
Thanks,

There was much debate about this many, many moons ago and it was decided that we needed to allow members to make transient changes to their sigs for a specific message without it sticking. Changing this behaviour is an easy thing.

Sorry to disappoint you but this behaviour has not changed for years.

That brought back memories[^] . It's not quite the same bug, but it's close.

Several times I am using the quick answer section in a day. There is no undo/redo options . It makes irritation of editing. It takes too much time to undo the wrong texting.

Which browser? I'm in the Quick Answers "Ask a Question" page and I can undo / redo using Ctrl+X/Y or right clicking and using the context menu.

Chris Maunder Avl.,
Now the undo/redo is working. Yesterday night used this in Chrome Browser on my laptop. May be the browser not updated.
Thanks for giving a reply to my message.
And then I need to post photos on Quick Answers Editor.
In future there is any features to be implement like online code compilers in Article or Quick Answers Solutions? Ex. Ref. Site: http://compileonline.com/[^]

Sometimes there are articles in the article moderation queue, that were Tips before, but then it still shows:
This is a new version of the currently published article
I suggest that it shows "This is a new version of the currently published tip" if the currently published version is a tip but the new version is an article.
|
|
|
|
|
I agree. As it is now, I always open up the "currently published" article to check if the type was changed from Tip to Article.

Can you please clarify?
When you post a reply you don't see the sig on your reply or on your original note? I'm assuming you mean on the reply.
(And I'm replying to you so we'll see if my sig appears...
...and look at that! No sig. OK, looks like a regression. Will fix.)
