I just ran across a question in Q&A where all the HTML that OP had pasted was properly escaped except for a <video ...> tag.
It might have been done by OP on purpose, but for now I'll just assume that it was an oversight in the algorithm that filters out special tags like the <img ... > tag for instance.
I posted and by now deleted a question that shows the same behaviour: Just a dummy question to check some tag strangeness[^].
Maybe the hamsters can have a look at it and decide if there are any measures needed to change the filter.
Cheers!
P.S.: My reasoning was that if images were disallowed in the fora and message boards, videos would also not be allowed probably for the same reasons.

I got the same problem. I signed up for this, and I lost the points. And I'm not subscribed to the other newsletters anymore.

Can you please try signing back up to a newsletter and seeing if that restores your points?

Dear Admin Panel,
I would like to inform that their is a technical bug as per my view so i think let me know you that this might be solve.
As recent activities from my accounts that i was holding two account for just voting purpose(actually i wrong for that-& that i am accepting) but through this i came across to one technical bug that about increasing a Platinum Points without doing any thing.
After blocking my another account from CPAP i had tried to loggin or registering again to CP at that time it is allow me to register me and also giving me such point for registering so by which my existing point are increase now.
Now as per the security layer for using my that account it didn't allow me for login but while i requesting one password(on Forgot Password) which is time being so while at that time again i can login to CP and + my platinum points also increased.
Now that activity can bring me to allow/block Member's or their articles/post/solutions by down voting or abusing.
(Actually now i didn't do that) but i thinks this should be informed so that's i had posted such information here.
For Reference Visit this account Link : http://www.codeproject.com/Members/User-7594982[^]
Note : I had already send requesting mail to Webmaster to remove my this account completely.
Thanks.!!

Sorry - you're going to need to restate what you mean.
You have two accounts. One was blocked? You asked for a password (to the blocked account or your unblocked one?) and your points increased.
No idea what CPAP is. When you say "Platinum points" I assume you mean "Participant points"

Yes.!! This is still working.
Actually I am requesting through this account which actually closed. now while i am requesting for forgot password, I am getting an Temporary Password through out which i could now login. well the another one account is now completely closed but through this account still i am enable to log in.
CPAP means Code Project Admin Panel.
Well by posting this i don't have any ideas to play wrong. i think that this is might be en error so that's why i had suggested this here.
Thanks.

Good question... what's the policy on simply displaying a slideshow (which would display if the formatting was fixed I assume).
|
|
|
|
|
I am lil bit confused about what should i consider this?
1) Is it a spam as i feel he is promoting his training program?
2) Should this be reported as Extremely poor quality as there is nothing fruitful? Or
3) Simply consider it as Format/Layout issues?

So I got the "Sign up for our free weekly Web Developer Newsletter" message at the top of the page. I thought I was signed up for it, but figured I would play along, so I clicked and clicked again and noticed my points dropped.
"Odd", I thought and checked my recent activity, which showed 5 signup undos.
"Weird" I thought and checked my Newsletter settings, which confirmed 5 were unchecked. I redid the opt-in, but did not get any points for that.
Now, the part with the points being subtracted and not added again might be correct (and I am not asking you to put them back) since I had received too many points many months ago when there was a bug with that, so perhaps the system just realigned those points.
However, I still keep getting the message about signing up for the newsletter, but only when I open this Tip: Porting the Financial Times JavaScript String Compressor[^]...What is that all about
Chrome on Win7
IE10 on Win7

Win 8/64 Chrome Version 30.0.1599.69 m
CP view: Relaxed / Medium / ThreadView / 50 / All
I hope I am the only one this is happening to. On any forum, if I click to expand a topic, then click to expand the responses: I am not getting a page with the responses, but getting a page that varies in content, most often showing some number of top-level posts on the same forum.
I just tested switching back to Normal view, and things look okay.
thanks, Bill
