This is exactly why this conversation started. Those who post irrelevant questions don't get their answered that is because we read their question and decided this is not the question to answered. So somewhat it is wasting the time of a member who could have answered a genuine question.
Think! Don't write a line of code unless you absolutely need to.

I disagree I'm afraid. Your recommendation means that you are going to have a lot fewer questions - even from those who could improve, and all you've done is moved people over to StackOverflow. Educate them. Don't stop them using the site.

CP is professional site for professionals, this is not facebook for dummies. The place for dummies to get educated is Google not CP neither StackOverflow.
CP "Quick Answer" feature is not about collecting questions on CP nor collecting members. this is about one developer helping another. Having an option for the author to support their question with a code, diagram, picture, screen shot, etc, will improve the quality of answer as well as response time.
Think! Don't write a line of code unless you absolutely need to.

Where does it say it's only for professionals? That's one heck of a condescending notion. Take a look at the tagline. "for those who code"
I'm sorry to say, but this idea gets my vote of no.

It would be nice to give CPIans the ability to sort bookmarks in different ways than the actual per section.
Personnaly I am using bokmarks as a kind of "I will read this article later" so I'd find practical to have the ability to sort bookmarks by "bookmarked date desc". I could then easily browse the latest bookmarks I have nor read yet...

Go to the Search page, enter "*" in the search box and click Search. Select 'Everything' and 'My Bookmarks'. You can then select a sort. While you can't sort by bookmarked date desc, you can sort by date create (or modified) desc.

Hi Matthew,
Thanks for the work around. Unfortunately does not help me much...
A more specific facility to order on the Bookmark page would be more useful.

Agreed.
For me, the most bang for the buck would be to display my bookmarks in reverse chrono order (most recent first) of bookmarked date.

IE8 -- I was just writing a comment on a blog and when I used Shift-Left or Shift-Right the text I was trying to select got deleted.
I am unable to reproduce it.
Edit: Now it's doing it again in another comment on a Tip. I also tried Shift-End, Shift-Up, and Shift-Down and it did it.

This has been happening to me for years. I fixed the problem by switching to Chrome (maybe not the answer you were looking for, but it works).

I don't seem to be receiving them - I just checked an answer and there was a comment 41 minutes ago, but no email has arrived. It was all working an hour and a half ago (email @15:37, current time 17:13) and I haven't changed any settings. I just checked and all three of the "Email Notifications" are checked in the "MySettings...Newsletters & Emails" tab of the settings page.
Looks like it may be at my ISP - I can't get any messages through...oh, joy!
If you get an email telling you that you can catch Swine Flu from tinned pork then just delete it. It's Spam.

I have edited the answer that the text is not going out of the box anymore...

Yes, that is fine, but it does not fix the issue permanently.
I could have done that also. But I reported because it is a bug.
You just removed some of the "=====", so that the length of that text is minimized and it gets displayed inside the box.
Ideally, when the text increases, the text should be wrapped in that box.
So, I am going to increase that length so that it will seen by the admin of CP.
Thanks,
Tadit.

If you do so, I'd like to add another example from The Lounge[^] where the same error occurs.

Hi all,
While creating my account i have accidentely memtioned my Account type as Group (which is wrong). But i have changed my account type to Strandard Member Account type long back. But in all my discussions my accoubt type is shown as Group (as you can see that now) but when i suppose to edit my account settings is shows as Standart Member Type. How this problem can be resolved?

I don't think it does, it shows which privileges you have been granted. Look for any that are highlighted in green and hover your mouse over them. If none are green then you are not at that level yet. Seems a bit buggy yet.
