I have reset the password several times in CP and I am an expert at it, thanks to the lousy and vanishing and tricky menu for changing the password. Credit goes to the programmer who can achieve such a code - it is technically sound one, but programmed to reject any kind of password reject.
I wonder who will set it right ! I had already seen similar posts here on similar issues. Hope some one take this problem and get it done so that the password can be reset. I am quite happy with the contents and the above average quality of the content here..but it is a tough job to enter the site !

Hey Chris,
Just been over at CP.TV having another play, and must admit I do like the feedback tool to the right of the page, and how it has the ability to attach a screenshot of the page.
I think something like this would be good on CP particularly for feedback suggestions and issues.
Cheers,

There must be 30 or so Spam posts all together yesterday, and the spam reporting mechanism isn't working - all it seems to do is report that downvotes are not allowed rather than mark it as spam.
How about creating a Spam forum, and giving half a dozen or so of the regulars the ability to move posts into it? That way we could clean up the site without reactivating downvotes? Just a suggestion...

I still like the idea of a third option on the report flag. Wrong forum or something, select it, choose a better forum, 5 agree and off it goes.
Or something.

Yeah, attempting to report SPAM says 'Downvotes are not allowed' And I second your suggestion.

Hi OG,
I third your suggestion. The current series of Lounge posts by one "Jastinal:" are obnoxious.
I also cast my vote, worth 1/9,500,000, for these options, on the "flag" drop-down menu:
Violates Lounge Rules ... perhaps simplified to: "Not for the Lounge" ?
Wrong Forum
Spam
imho, replacing 'Abusive,' and just having: 'Violates Lounge Rules' would then, cover: not only what we usually consider abusive message content (defamation, slander, verbal assault, threats, etc.), but also posts that include NSFW, or non-KSS, content, inappropriate comments about religion, etc.

“Thus on many occasions man divides himself into two persons, one who tries to fool the other, while a third, who in fact is the same as the other two, is filled with wonder at this confusion. Thinking becomes dramatic, and acts out the most complicated plots within itself, and, spectator, again, and again, becomes: actor.” From a book by the Danish writer, Paul Moller, which was a favorite of Niels Bohr.

That explains it, I thought noone was reading the Lounge at the moment
Consider your suggestion fourthd or something.

Quote: How about creating a Spam forum, and giving half a dozen or so of the regulars the ability to move posts into it? I will welcome something like that, but the "Move post ability" might be tied closely to the Site Protector member type. I am sure they want to keep the number of Protectors fairly low.

Sounds good to me - as long as there is two per "timezone" to give good coverage that makes a lot of sense.

I agree, but there is a problem[^]. Perhaps he is able to move them to something like "Uncategorised posts" where we can all jump on them.

Or we use the Backdoor forum for this purpose. There is nothing much on as far as I've seen.

When you hover over the red box notification number, on the popup there is a "View all notifications" link to the bottom left, any chance you could put a "Clear all" to the bottom right.
Alternatively, if in the list, you could put a Delete icon to the right of each items title.
I just find it a pain just having to go view all page then clear then confirm.
ps. Are you planning on plugging in realtime updates without page refresh requirement. It would be good for the likes of me who will minimise my window for a while, but don't actually close. Go on, you know you want to...

Hello! I'd very much appreciate it if someone deleted my account. Thank you!

I have tried to log in with IE10 (Desktop) on Windows 8 without success.
Problem:
- Sign in page not displayed, postback leads back to home page
- SIgn in from home page causes postback but nothing happens
Cookies are enabled.
Found no solution, so I switched to Google Chrome which works fine.

Try hovering the mouse over the "Sign in" text and use the drop-down sign in form. It seems to me that it sometimes works a little different than the sign in page.

Hi,
I have tried this. Same effect. No error message but I am back at the original page without being signed in.

I have no problem signing on from the Sign On page when using IE10 on my Windows Phone 8. I know it is not quite the same thing, but I am just sharing my observation.
Try going to http://www.codeproject.com/script/misc/browsercheck.aspx[^] and see if anything looks odd.
If you don't notice anything weird, you could post the results back here so an admin can take a look at it.

Try again. I've tried all the combinations from my desktop and Windows 8 IE10 with no problems. However, it appears Chris has deployed a new version, so he may have fixed something.

Can you create a forum for asking questions about help with using the site?
If one already exists, it's too difficult to find. The Bugs and Suggestions forum says it's not appropriate for help questions.
The difficult we do right away...
...the impossible takes slightly longer.
