I'm not sure about the rep thing. I've seen deleted answers in the past, possibly because I've got mentor status, but I vaguely recall someone saying that higher-rep can see them (hence the IIRC in my reply).

Ok. That's mean we can re-active the deleted one. but It display the "Improve Answer" link.
In my case, what I did is, click the "Improve Answer" and edit my answer and save.
if there is no re-active feature, we no need "Improve Answer" link. What do you think?

I think that if you use "Improve Answer", the answer will be edited, but still deleted. Once, I posted an answer and deleted it accidentally. I used the "Improve Answer" button to edit it, but after editing my answer, the answer was still deleted.
In some cases, my signature will be longer than my message...

Yep, same thing happening to me. but, I think when we edited the answer, there should be a feature like un-delete.

If you can edit, you can get the text with the html-tags and other stuff you have added into clipboard, and then paste it into another answer.
Without the editing function, then you can only copy the result as they are shown.

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpfull answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

I think he wants to un-delete it as he has improved it.

Why not just post the improvement as a new answer?
|
|
|
|
|
Yep, That's how I did. if so, what is the purpose of having "Improve Answer" facility for deleted question?
|
|
|
|
|
There's no purpose to it. It just hasn't been disabled.

In the Insider news, when clicking on a thread, the size of all the message boxes shrinks to about half. The header row is unaffected.
I'm using IE8 on Win7 Pro with all updates.
Problem appears to have corrected itself after a few misbehaves.

As a Protector, you have the power to delete messages in the Lounge, right? If so, can you please squash the spam messages being posted right now?

Supposedly, but it has never worked for me (always says something along the lines of "you don't have permission to perform this operation").

Bummer.
I guess we have to call on the hamsters then. It looks like the spammers have figured out that forum is vulnerable to their attacks.

When I vote up a message the #tag makes the message jump to top of page, which is kind of annoying. Please remove this feature.

I noticed that as well. They probably need to return false from the function that's handling the click event on the element.

The ZIP file is not hosted on CodeProject, so I believe zero is the correct value.

There appears to be an oddity in the new article list in the Newsletter (but may also apply to various site functions).
I noticed that my latest articles appeared on the newsletter, well 3 out of the 5 did, but they were all published at the same time.
It looks like the New Article list looks at the date the article was first created and not the date the article was first published.
In my opinion this should look at the first published date, as the author might have had this in 'work in progress' for a while. As a result they may get missed of the new list as the system thinks they are old, and not new to the public.
There may be some other dark forces at play here, but it certainly looks like something is amiss.
Cheers,

If you post a new thread in the lounge, the page that is displayed after you press "Post Message" with your new message on it has no Green text indicating upvotes, nor do the posts them selves display the count. Not a complaint - it just looks odd.
If you get an email telling you that you can catch Swine Flu from tinned pork then just delete it. It's Spam.

I've noticed that if I browse to codeproject(tried ie and chrome).
The second menu "all topics, java c# etc..." is always randomly selected to something I really don't care about.
Shouldn't it always be "All articles"?
It's really annoying that I have to click all articles just to get the old style of news.
Oh I'm doing this as an unlogged user and it happens all the time...on more than one machine?
Is this by design and if so...what's the point?
