With my view in Normal mode (everything expanded), there is no visible separation from one thread to another. They all blend together. Yes, the first post in a thread is bold, but something else is needed.

If noticed this before, but forgot to report it. Since this bug bit me again today, I'll report it now:
This is the code as found in the edit box:
language='javascript'
but it is rendered as:
language="'javascript'"
Somehow there are additional quotes introduced which are not present in the original code.
I found it in Q&A: stringbuilder not working correctly[^]
There seems also an issue with code appearing as in a comment when it is not. I'll post that when I run across it again.
Cheers!

That's probable as I found that posting the complete line produced the same effect (of superflous quotes). So I edited my post just to show the part where the error occurred.
Cheers!

Hello,
I don't know is this bug at this new GUI or something is wrong with my web browser.
When I position mouse pointer over drop down menus title, for exmple discussions,
drop down menu opens, but when I move pointer down to select next option it closes.
I struggled until I started this discussion group to report this.
This happens randomly but it is very annoying,
and refers to all titles except the home title which do not have drop down menu.
My browser is IE ver 8, OS MS Windows XP Home SP3.
All the best,
Perić Željko

I have same issue and I also have same config. IE8 on XP.
If you can move the mouse really, really, really, really, fast, then the list will stay open.
[EDIT]
If you click and hold the menu text, eg. 'discussions', while the list appears, then move your mouse down to the list, the list doesn't disappear and you can now select from the list okay.
However with some further playing, I can make the word completely disappear and be replaced by a block of orange. Tres weird.

Reputationator - CP Narcissists Rejoice! Part 2 of 4[^]
It's broken for all four parts (they all link to the same file, so that's probably why they're all broken), but this is the one where it was reported.

Thanks for letting us know. I believe we have fixed it across all four articles

Slightly off-topic, did you ever get around to using the article API I whipped up for you? Just wondering if it's needed, if it's used, and if it would cause you pain if I changed it.

Hi,
your new web's layout is very beautiful. I have a trouble in article "Charting-in-NET-4".The archive file is browsable but where is the dowload command for it?
Thank you

If you mean this one: Charting in .NET 4[^] please try to give a link in future - it helps people to find the exact article you mean (and there are a lot of them!)
If that is it, then I see no download either, but then I don't really see an article there either - that is at best a Tip.
While it is possible that the recent changes have lost a lot of content (including the download) I can't see any reason why that was let through in the first place!

Yes, the link is just that. This is not an article as I incorrectly reported but of a tips.
In the future I'll try to add the link to the page.
Thanks for your help.

Hapenning to me in chrome under weven when I re-size. The screenshot is @125%, other zoom levels have differing levels of correctness.
FF seems fine, IE seems to have very minor problems at high zoom in & out.

I see it as well in Firefox. The offset seems random and does not depend on the zoom level. It seems to happen while zooming in or out, then it resets. I am guessing it has something to do with how fast the rendering engine works.

Dear CP,
At the bottom of every article there is a link Article Top tat should bring you at the top of the page. Since the new version got in, it is not working (tried on Chrome, latest version).
Cheers

Is the Metro UI against separators in menus?

... ask a few of us oldies to beta test the new UI ? (Or maybe I just reckoned I am not member of the club).
I am feeling microsofted.
Feedback (if any required): Overall very good, for the rest, same as everyone (separate threads more clearly (with a light orange shade?), grey on white is not senior-friendly, too much space kills the space, too much white kills the white.)
Thanks for keeping Bob and bit of orange

Hey, I'm (reasonably) happy with the new layout, and using it as I type. It's even better when I set text size to 90% in Chrome. Pah, you kids know nothing.
One of these days I'm going to think of a really clever signature.
