We're *this* close to having that done.
[Edit: Unfortunately we've about-faced and won't be supporting this]

I jumped on CP the other day to post something I wanted JSOP to see, but I also wanted to share the post with the community. After making the post, I had the thought that it might be nice to have a name hash tag so that when we mention someone by name (or alias) in a post, they'll get a notification (which users can elect to disable).
If you have G+ this would work exactly like their '+' command.
Being that were nerdy programmer types, might I suggest you all use a '*'

Hi
yesterday my article MVVM Pattern Made Simple[^] had 22 fives and 8 fours (total 30 votes). The average was given as 4.76 (even though the mathematical average would be 4.73).
Today someone added a "five" to me - I have 23 fives and 8 fours. Unexplicably my average for the article went down - it is now 4.66 (even though the mathematical average is 4.74).
Can you, please, verify you algorithms.
Thanks
Nick Polyak

Voting is weighted, so higher status members have votes that count for more. That explains the deviation from the arithmetic averages.
But getting a 5 should never drop the score, so it may be a bug.

"You have already voted..." comes after you actually voted for the survey.
For any survey, if user is already voted, he should not be allowed to vote again.
so, the message: "You have already voted..." should come before user is actually voting second time.
People may not remember whether he has already voted or not.

Yes, it should, but I'm cheating. To remove the button for voting before you vote would mean a pre-emptive database check to see if you've voted. We'd have to do that for every visitor to the site, which is extra load that's unnecessary. Doing it the way we do it means the check is done on-demand.

OK - let's not get into the mankini thing again

I never got into the mankini in the first place. Mine is not the body you want to see in a Mankini.

Ah, sorry I forgot you for a moment. But do you really think that I don't care you?

I really don't care. I'll go home to the loving arms of my wife and my children tonight.

Judging by the votes and statistics it's quite popular with CPians.

Why not? If people like an article and vote for it then who are we to demand its removal?

When i read that article, first came into my mind that it ain't have a quality to be a featured article on Codeproject. I didn't mean to remove or down rate the article. I just wanted to share my thoughts with you(May be you misunderstand me because I posted it in Site Bugs / Suggestions forum). But, you have a good point. So many people like it and naturally it is popular now. In that sense, it is okay. I agree with that 100%

Really? I look at its discussion forum and find it not as popular as it's statistic. Especially the topmost message.

Excuse me for my improper grammar and typos.
It's because English is my primary language, not my first language.
My first languages are C# and Java.
VB, ASP, JS, PHP and SQL are my second language.
Indonesian came as my third language.
My fourth language? I'm still creating it, I'll let you know when it's done!
