Hey Gary,
We have hundreds of articles posted and edited each week and the majority seem to work fine (and we ourselves use it daily)
Do you have any ad blocking extensions (or otherwise, such as uBlock) that could be messing with the browser?
If you send me the URL of the article I'll gladly dive in and take a look.
cheers

Workaround was I deleted the article and started over this time hosting the images on my server and linking to them. This seemed to work a lot cleaner. The problems mostly seemed to revolve around pasting images into the editor. Some of the images I pasted got stored and linked properly, some didn't and there didn't seem any obvious way to get it sorted out. The editor and the preview didn't agree about what image belonged where. Sometimes preview shows the wrong image, sometimes it shows nothing. Somehow when you paste images into an article, it's possible for that to get out of synch... sometimes they never show up in the image list... anyway never mind it, paste image does not seem to work reliably but I have a workaround now.

Ah. The trick here is that if you paste an article in it won't "stick". You need to drag and drop or click the "upload files" button to add images to the article's workspace and then you can insert the images by just referring to them by filename in an IMG tag (or use the little orange arrow next to the image to insert it)
We will be upgrading the article posting page so you can simply paste directly.
cheers

1) You can do it yourself: CodeProject Member FAQ[^]
2) Posting the email adress publicly in an open forum... Be ready to get a bunch of spam.
I am going to edit your message and delete the adress. But I am not sure if it is not too late.

I have been a user and fan of CodeProject for decades. But today, things are totally broken.
I was unable to sign in or join from Firefox, as many of the fields on the page were missing. I attempted to sign in with my Github account, but with no more success. I was able to get to a 'send password' at some point, and got "... so instead we've generated a time-limited password you can use to login in again:", but I couldn't sign in with this either. And, of course, "This message has been sent from an unattended email box." When I tried to join from Chrome, I got "The email you have supplied has already been registered. ...", but when I tried to log on with it, I got "Authentication failed." I had to create a new account with a new email address just to get in to CodeProject. Then I found out the code I wanted to download was no longer available. ('Dependz' from the article "Troubleshooting dependency resolution problems using Process Monitor".)
You really need to fix your 'Join' and 'Sign in' screens to work from any major browser!

Are you using uBlock or some other ad blocking tech?

On Chrome, No. On Firefox I have ABP.

Can I ask you to disable that? I've just tested on Chrome and FF and no problems on either on the latest versions.
Each time this has been reported it's been an add-on that's caused the issue.
[Update: there does seem to be rendering issues with the latest Firefox that are unrelated to this. I'll dig in though]

There is an issue with the css files and Firefox. I'm deploying a fix now.

I've just deployed a 'fix'. Could you confirm that I actually did fix it.
Thanks.

It seems that at the moment, by clicking the 'report count shield' (top right corner) on an article in moderation, I get a list of current reports ("List Report Details" / "Report history details for Article") and I could delete, activate, or deactivate them.
Probably a privilege only admins and protectors should have
Using Firefox 77.0.1

I second that.
Yesterday the count of reports appeared to the right of the shield icon and there was no option to bring down the textbox activated by clicking on the redflag.
At reading W's post here this morning I got the king's foot in the face ... and was able to do the do as described in his (W) "steps to reproduce the error".

I saw the different "Shield" icon too, but I didn't check it because IIRC it has already happened before.
Mathew released something to fix the other FF problems.
Right now there is no article in moderation, but articles in the recent list look normal again for me.
Is it gone for you too?

Perhaps you're compounding the thread by addressing me; well, the ability to manage the report is still available but the weird numeral beside the shield icon is instead in place hovering 1.5 miles above it. So good, yeah?
Clicking on the numeral brings up the report. And I'll bet I can still do the stuff today that I said I could probably do yesterday.
Whatever this resolves ... ok with me.

The shield icon is now fine but I can still access the "Report history details" and all the actions (delete and deactivate) are available.

How do I delete my account? I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find it.

I wanted to report this spammer's messages
Latest Messages[^]
but I can't
I can reply, edit, bookmark, permalink... but not report them, the flag is not clickable
The layout looks a bit weird too, I thought he had done something, but editing the message show no weird html.
I have checked other good comments in other articles of the "recent" list, the same problem and same layout.
