1. Should be all better, but that's the fun of alpha testing. (Actually Matth'ew now declared it beta. woot)
2. User error, I hear.
3. No flooding, just an issue with sorting that I'm fixing this minute
cheers,

Posting the same link twice in an answer. Pre tag fumbling ...
When will this end?
Think I'll grab myself another beer and let you all stumble along.
Cheers!

Who is this new person?
What have you done with the real Luc?
Anyway, it was your fault, I tried one of your tip/trick options, and look what happened!
This[^] encouraged me to put a blue background onto some code, and you can see what happened!
Oddly, though, it works here[^].

I'm back. Its a trick CP plays on me occasionally, and I didn't notice right away. I now reported it, see thread above.
Dalek Dave wrote: it was your fault
we should take care of blaming later, let's first get things fixed.
May I assume you can't edit that message any longer? if you can, I suggest you remove it's harmful/dangerous/suspicious parts.
And then maybe tell me in detail what they were.
I had been replying, just recently, to the datagridview question hoping he would at least get a solution through the e-mail. Seems that in the mean time the forum looks better again, and the bottom half of my reply entered into the message that has you as author (Which means that my text may get up-voted and you will amass the points.. grr.)
"My reply is rather simple" and all that follows is mine, and I did open a pne-line PRE block for "value=..."; so somehow PRE was already open.
I would now suggest you don't touch it any further, and we let Chris & Co investigate.

I can't edit or delete, but i think if we just leave it to whither on the vine it should not be a problem.
As to getting any votes, that would be nice
As for blame, you do realise I was joking, don't you?
I wonder why it worked in QnA but not in the forum though, different rules?

You're easy to blame. There's a very real possibility that you were drunk when you posted it (I haven't read it, but the possibility is there, none the less).

This link[^] shows some interesting results. For example, Eddy Vluggen and Marcelo Ricardo de Oliveira are separated by only one rep point and appear in the correct order. However further down the page, Rob Manderson and Stan Shannon do not appear in the correct order. I suspect that for the order by clause the rep points are being rounded, but it is not clear what factor is then used for tie-breaking. Any reason for the rep points rounding, if it is indeed that being used? Thanks.

That link shows the ordering by message count, not reputation points.

Nope, that page shows members ordered by whatever they had been ordered before; the sortedby parameter isn't part of the URL. I suspect it is stored in a cookie!

sorry, my mistake. You are right, there is a parameter, however I typically don't get to see it, as the URL (from the Who's Who menu) works without that parameter, and then uses the most recent choice.

Just looked into it. It's sort of a hybrid. If the sort is currently message count, and it indicates that in the query string, then you change the sort to reputation and click "Refresh", the page will update with the new sort, but the URL will remain unchanged. Now, if you click "Next" to see the next page of results, the query string parameter will change to "ml_ob=Reputation". So it seems to be a dynamic page that doesn't change on refresh, but which changes the URL's so that anything clicked on the page will result in the new valid URL.
Not exactly a bug, but it seems like this page should be changed so that any time somebody sends a URL to others, they see the same information. Perhaps they should preform a redirect when the "Refresh" button is clicked rather than just doing a simple postback.

Remembering the last choice was something I requested when the numeric anchors got lost during the face lift.
While the current implementation is already good enough for my use, I think I agree with what you suggest.

You are correct. I posted the incorrect link. Here is the correct link[^]. Where Stan Shannon is placed on that paged is incorrect.
The reason for the original incorrect link, is that I originally went to that link and refreshed the page and requested the sort order by Reputation. I didn't realize that the URL for the page didn't change. My bad.

It doesn't make sense to me to round numbers before sorting (unless such was the spec), the results don't get any better, and AFAIK the operation doesn't become cheaper by doing something like that. I would guess the numbers change from the time they are looked up for sorting and looked up again to actually generate the page (which strictly speaking would be a bug).
{ADDED] I now looked more closely and noticed the difference is more than 300 points, that can't be a dual-fetch glitch. [/ADDED]

I answered a question, and the OP marked it as "the" answer. Yesterday when someone did that, I got 25 points. Today, I didn't. Am I bumping up against some other (yet to be defined) limit? This is the question:

There's a limit of 10 per day
I can't think of one good reason why this should have a limit. Maybe the hint is that once you answer 10 questions, take time off CP and go spend time with your guns, nascar models, and family
