... the "top experts" of "last 24 hrs" seems to be very static today (web05).

I set up the setting for fetching the blog posts to https://www.engineerspock.com/feed
And it should work, however, the "Download now" circle spins forever on the corresponding page and nothing happens.
I checked out that some of my latest blog posts are marked by "CodeProject" category and visited the feed's page. Everything should work fine.

A new message notification wasn't sent for a comment, not received as an email nor in notification box on the left side of profile name.
Along with that no record in rep list for leaving comments or answering questions. I wonder if the OP's get any notification for comments...
I think these kinds of things happen somewhere around 4 to 6 am GMT or even later in the weekends. Backups running perhaps?
ADDITION: Now the messages appeared but the records in rep list are still missing...

In previous revision I have removed dbscript.zip/rar, Download Demo of size (23 to 26 MB). and added another attachment of 500-600 KB in size. This change was not reflected on last revision and it is still not visible in preview of current revision made by me.

Yes that is the Article. My change was not visible in the preview so added this in suggestion/bugs.
I just checked the Article and change of attachment is visible now. thanks

After typing out a comment and hitting the button, the comment in a Q&A question gets eaten and disappears from the screen. On some days, the hamsters are too busy drinking fine wine and having sex to bother entering user content, so they instead send back a message claiming to have tried to add the comment a few times, but being unable to since the servers are a little overworked.
Okay, fine. Let me keep the comment and I'll try again soon.
Huh? You've eaten the comment and done nothing with it? Tsk, Tsk, Tsk - S.O would never do that.

Faced similar in the past, but: Usually, after some minutes/hours the comment came up
Check you rep Point history, sometimes you will find the comment there, even it is not visible at the place you posted it...

Did this happen around the time you made this report? Do you recall the question / answer to which you were commenting? I'd like to dig in a little and see if I can find out what happened. Could be behind the sofa or possibly dropped as we fumbled for the keys last night.

Yeah mate, that's my recollection.
Sure do. I was trying to tell this fella about the HTMLElement's "remove()" method and how it's a better choice than asking the element's parent to remove it.
It was here: https://www.codeproject.com/Questions/1273319/How-to-lay-a-new-canvas-over-an-existed-canvas-and?cmt=1008421#cmt1008421 and was in response to the comment posted at "3-Jan-19 21:57pm"
Yeah, I'd have a look under the sofa cushions. However, bitter experience has taught me that on occasions, under the fridge is more likely to be successful. Naturally, I imagine sometimes the hamsters just forget.
Would now be a bad time to say we're expecting 31°C in Melbourne today?

|
|
|
|
Yeah, please tell me more about the weather back home. We're expecting -22C windchill here in a few hours so the more you can talk about warm breezes and endless sunshine 15,000km away the more relaxed I feel. No, really.
As to the comment you posted: I checked under the sofa, under the fridge, in the sock drawer and even checked the recycling bin. Nothin.
The odd thing is we had no database errors corresponding to the comment system at that time (in fact none in the last 24 hours). We did, however, have redis errors which shouldn't have mattered but may have contributed. We are in the process of planning a replacement for our Redis client and will actually be switching to the one StackOverflow wrote. God bless their little cotton socks.
As to losing data: yeah, I know. It does happen occasionally and clearly we need to do a better job when our current retry systems also fail.
cheers

Thanks Chris, I really appreciate the fact that you're prepared to look around for a missing post on a site that I don't pay $$ to use.
Well, to be honest - the day is absolutely gorgeous. Birds are out, clouds are virtually non-existent, sky's as blue and perfect as a poster. Put in 5 hours from 5am to 10am - I'll work out when I feel like doing the other 3.... later!
For what it's worth, we're reported to be in for an absolute stinker this year. Last Chrissy never got all that hot, but this year we've got global climate patterns coming round to give us a touch-up. I've put sunscreen on for the last 7 days and been burnt anyway - I don't miss that part of summer.
Here 'go - took these a few minutes ago for yer, enjoy!

It's so typical now to open a thread and read a random digression, usually negative, and without wit, or, style.
thanks, Bill

I'd rather not introduce negativity into that forum at this point.

I'm such a fan of Kent's reportage ... and, I tend to open the responses frequently because there are often interesting replies.

Hi,
Received three copies of the same Daily Build email in under an hour this afternoon. The only difference, the size of first was 52k, the other two were 49k.

We had an issue with out Mail Sender yesterday and it had to be restarted. This is likely what caused you to get multiple copies.
