Yeah, it must be that, and nothing to do with his incredible patience with "developers" who seem to know as much about computers as Japan's cyber-security minister[^].

It does not solve my Problem, but it answers my question

Some of the emails I get have the reply content included:
Others don't have any:
There is no scroll bar on the right, no "CodeProject" at the footer, just the clickable link to the QA question and then nothing.
If you need the emails forwarded, just ask.

Have you tried viewing the source of the email? IIRC, the last time I saw this it was an HTML-encoding problem.

Yes - it is! The subject line of the question is
Which one is better from arraylist and list<object> And that is being transfered as "clear text" instead of being HTML encoded.
Chris, might be an idea to add an HTML encode to all subject lines? It's going to happen again!

Unfortunately that will make most email clients have dodgy subject lines. < and > are perfectly valid for email subjects.
Which email client are you using?

Windows live mail.
It's only a problem when you get a reply to a QA question that has the subject line with < and > in (and it's very valid and even likely there).

Not sure if already reported, and too lazy to check right now, sorry
My red indicator shows "1" but when I hover the mouse I get a list with 5 items.
IE and FF same behaviour

For me is not missing (most of the time), it just shows a number, that has nothing to do with the real quantity.
But yes, it seems to be the same bug

I suspect there's a caching issue involved. I've just seen a notification flag for the first time this week, and I don't have any unread notifications.

Is "Personal Forum For Member CodeProject Authors" supposed to be there? It's locked, so it doesn't seem to serve any purpose.

Ugh. Set the wrong flag when making that board. It'll slip away quietly in a few.

Or this bug is peculiar to noone else but me. Filter now can't be cleared.
Steps to reproduce behavior:
1. Go to QA.
2. Observe filtered-by text box content (the bug "Interested" -> "C#2.0, C#3.0, C#, C#4.0, C#3.5, C#5" & "Ignored" -> "(e.g. Homework,LOLCode)".
3. Highlight content of both, hit delete, hit update.
4. OK, not "Ignored" ... (but LOLCode? Come on, really?)
5. Hit "Update" (see that "Interested" becomes the old cp liverbird "(e.g. C++, VB)")
5. Change to another webpage, then return to QA.
6. See that the Filter has reverted to the bug (as described above).

You don't mean the watermark, do you?
(and LOLCode was a tag at one point)

Right, I guess it is a "watermark". But, as in this image, "Interested" is "(e.g C++, VB)" and it's behavior, which is the old behavior and the good behavior, upon update, REMOVES all filters.
Focusing then on just "Interested" ... when navigating away from the page and then returning to the page, the NO-FILTER behavior where all the posts are shown is no longer exhibited. SO there's two things that have changed. One -> after update, anything as a watermark exhibits active FILTER (which I don't want ... from a default watermark, right). Two -> I can't return to a NO-FILTER condition under any circumstance.

Here's what I see, the good:
And the bad:
The second one persists and in order to get all posts I have to manually clear the control everytime I return to the page. Notice how there are no parentheses in that new watermark. Nor is there a "e.g" signifying the default condition.
Also please note that any NEXT movement through the returns reapplies the bad filter. So no NEXT page is really available.
