Hi
Yesterday I saw two comments on my article having text "Message Closed" and nothing else. What does this mean? Is it something that I'm unable to see the original message from the poster?

Hello Community Members
Not sure why but I've stopped receiving notifications on the comment/question being put on my articles. Every time I've to explicitly go to my newly published articles and check if there are any new comments/questions which I need to address. Earlier I used to receive notification for each and every new comment. Although I'm still receiving notification whenever my submitted article get approved by community. Has anything changed site-wide in this regard for all users or I've turned off any setting by mistake? I tried looking for some setting which could be causing this but didn't find anything which will have relevance. Can anyone help me please if you've an idea or might have faced same issue?
Regards

Got an answer to my own question . In Comments and Discussions section there is an envelope with a gear icon which drives notification settings as shown below inside red rectangle:
This setting has to be enabled separately for each and every blog under your account. Not sure why these settings are set to no notification by default whenever you publish a new blog. By default this should be enabled and should have some default setting. There is no way for the author to know that notifications are disabled.

They should be set to notify you by default.
I'll make a note to take another look and check

It seems the servers are not in sync. When I am not logged in (in Incognito mode), home page is showing different filter options from different servers. Also the default highlighted option is different.
For e.g.
Web01 - 2016
C# is highlighted and filter options are : All, C#, F#, .Net Core
Web02-2016
Web is highlighted and filter options are : All, C++, Database, IoT, Java, Mobile, .NET, Web
Web03
.Net is highlighted and filter options are : All, C++, Database, IoT, Java, Mobile, .NET, Web
Web04
All is highlighted and filter options are : All, C++, Database, IoT, Java, Mobile, .NET, Web

Could you please let me know if this is still happening? I found a potential issue and haven't been able to replicate the issue since the fix, but Murphy's Law rules.

Apologies for not responding on time. Everything looks fine now.

I noticed that too. It looks the entire front page is winning articles and hundreds of tags.
-edit- I just refreshed it and it is much better behaved now.

I have refreshed several times, but always landing in Web04... where the problem persists.

Some of them are just pure clickbait:
Nothing about the "story" at the other end, even if you do go through the tracking system of "adclick.g.doubleclick dot net" which uBlock rejects automatically.

They're one of the reasons uBlock is set to "kill" for all new sites!

I use my hosts file to block sites.
I get my hosts file from here: Blocking Unwanted Connections with a Hosts File[^]
If an ad sneaks through, I modify my hosts file to include the url, notify the people at this site. On their next update, their hosts file usually includes what I sent them. They update frequently.

I do that too. I started with theirs and then added a few hundred more.

I was on this thread, Cos x + cos y = 1, cos 3x + cos 3y = 0. Find value of x and y!, and I was flagging it as off-topic since it was primarily a homework.
The response returned "Success". Great. But it wrote success on every post and comment as well. When we highlight the solutions, or the replies and comments. They all contain "Success". And I did not vote for them, only the question.
Needs to be checked.

I did a search for my messages (dated oldest to newest), and none of the old links that I clicked on took me to the selected message. Instead it took m to the latest lounge post made by whoever made it.
How can I relive my glory days when I can't see the messages? HOW!? BOB, THOU HAST FORSAKEN ME!!! I AM NOT AN ANIMAL!!!!

Can you please send me a link that failed to work?
We need to look up the message by message ID to get the location of that message, and from there we get the forum. Everything's cached so there shouldn't be any issues. Database loads (the way we did it a few years ago) have a limiter that stops you going back too far in order to limit the pain on the server.

There were several that I tried, and when I tried newer ones, the newer ones worked as expected.
I'm probably hitting the limiter. The messages I was trying to load were from 2001. However, if they're in the list, I should be able to see them when I click on them, correct?
In any case, here's a link to a message from 2000.

There shouldn't be any limit. A message from 2001 is something dark and dusty. If you have the ID I'll put on my Stetson, grab a torch and enter the archives.
