I have edited answer(s) in the past using something like:
[EDIT]
This answer is for the initial question. The question has been modified meanwhile so that the answer might not apply anymore.

I saw that case. I was thinking that OP voted 1 (I voted 5, as it was a totally unperfect answer for a totally unperfect questin - perfect fit )...

The only real solution here is to remove all answers to questions that are modified.
Or, in a perfect world, to have the community remove (not downvote) answers that no longer suit a question that's been modified.

Could it be possible to lock the first version of a question after, say 10 minutes?
The later versions would only be addendum to the original and would be shown separately.

It's a fairly regular issue on Sundays. I guess that's when the big houskeeping jobs are running.

Should I notify you when I'm on the site so you can reschedule that kind of thing?

That would be great, John. I was actually thinking I should just give you my phone number so you can directly call me. Bugs, issues, minor requests, major architecture changes at 2AM to suit your whim. That sort of thing.
Would that work for you?

You'd do that, but balked at setting up a posthumous "What Would JSOP Do?" forum?

On the home page i am seeing same questions since last few days, it looks like it is not getting updated, is this a known bug ? and when it would be displaying the new question being posted?

@Chris Maunder any update on this ?

Are you following a specific set of tags? Are those tags such that only a very low volume of questions about those tags get asked?
Have you tried clicking the "All" category (just to the right of "Following")?

What's with all the <wbr> tags that appear in the question titles in some lists?
Eg:
The same tags don't appear when you open the question:

I was going through some old emails with links to Forum conversations, and I tried to follow the link to an old C# Forum discussion.
Re: Is there a better way in Rx? - C# Discussion Boards[^]
It took me just to the first page of the C# Forum.
I tried searching using the title:
HEFFRON AND Is there a better way in Rx
and filtering on Forum messages, General programming, C#
I got back a list of hits that included the correct conversation, including the partial quotes, but following those, again, got me only the first page of the C# Forum. (Also, now the Layout Style had been changed to Open All. Odd!)
Why am I unable to go to the older conversations? (In this case, less than 2 years old.)

It seems to be OK now. There were a couple of database error at the time, probably due to the site being crawled simultaneously by several bots. This may have prevented the older messages from being retrieved.
We are currently looking at several store procedures to see if we can speed things up a bit.
