Found a weird thing on member biography page, just reporting. Not sure whether it is bug or not.

The next deploy will have more details:
The IoT contest had multiple categories and Grasshopper won a bunch.

We seem to get quite a few "questions" that bypass the spam detector, despite having clearly spam content. For example, these two: Spam in QA (hanerrynath)[^]
Is it because they are getting deleted before the spam reports remove them?
If so, could you have a word with the deleter(s) and explain how the detector works?
If not, perhaps the detector needs a quick kick to wake it up to these idiots - they are always the same type of rubbish!
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

Unfortunately it's the nature of the beast that the spam detector can't detect new spam until it's seen a few and been told they are spam.

Still comments (Q/A) will be shown at wrong Position after posting, usually at the end of all comments.
After refreshing everyting ok.

I had the same a several times and observed this:
If I add a reply to one of the previous comments (not the last) it will be shown as a child of the last until update. Like date of the post is used to sort...

Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?

How about a list of "permitted URLs"?
We trap a lot of URLs, but there are some sites that we really should let through: CP, SO, MSDN, Technet, W3schools, maybe Wiki?
Just a thought that that might reduce the number of "false positives" and smooth the way a little.
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

I thought the white list was already being used
M.D.V.
If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

The White list works ike a charm

Quote: indicates new messages since 1-Jan-00 6:00
It happening after a logout-login (or maybe the cache clear)... the whole site displays all messages as new...

Half way there. Turns out it's a bit weirder than expected.

For example this question [Monsters vs you : an optimisation puzzle](https://www.codeproject.com/Questions/1211081/Monsters-vs-you-an-optimisation-puzzle)
Underneath the question I see
Posted 1hr 5mins ago
Venkatesh ChangeGowda
But in the Q&A list / new tab I see
Monsters vs you : an optimisation puzzle
5hrs 5mins ago - updated 4hrs 5mins ago
So the difference is 4 hours...
|
|
|
|
|
I have recognised this too some times (time stamp for all questions is 4 hours back). When this happens now I'm reloading the QA page and always get the correct times then.

On Firefox 56.0 under Windows 7 the report flag is no longer visible.
Upvote icon is also no longer visible.

Happens for me too here at work with an old 4:3 monitor. Works at home with a 16:9 HD monitor but the buttons vanish when down sizing the FF window. The code is there (have a look at the page source). So it seems to be a FF and Chrome rendering problem with small window width.

16:9 monitor here but not HD resolution - I'm too blind for that so I had to settle for a 1600x900 (a bit blurrier but bigger).
I alwasy use maximized view.

This is what I see on FF 56.03 with the window shrunk as narrow as it will go
However, I'm on Win10.
Can you paste in a screen grab of a message showing the issue, please?
cheers
