As the question says, daily New Articles & Insider News e-mails stopped arriving several weeks ago. My Settings shows those boxes are still ticked so why did they stop & how do I restart them?
Thx
RB
P.S. I posted this Qu. elsewhere & apparently someone objected & closed it. Hopefully, I can get an answer here.

A valley is a list which contains strictly decreasing nos. Followed by strictly increasing nos. For example [17, 12, 4, 3, 6, 8, 22, 45] is a valley but [1, 5, 6, 4, 3, 6, 7] is not....please help for this program[^]
I tried to format the code in this question, but couldn't save because of the length of the title: "The subject must be between 20 and 200 characters. Please keep the subject between 3 and 30 words. The better the question, the better your answer."
But how OP was able to save that!?!
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

Somewhat akin to the post below, but...
In FireFox and IE 11, if I mouse to the Articles, I see
Chapters and Sections
Search
Latest Articles
Latest Tips/Tricks
Top Articles
etc.
But nothing below "Chapters and Sections" is accessible because the chapter submenu pops up, blocking everything underneath.
Now, if I click the actual word "Articles", and I'm quick enough once that page opens, I can slide the mouse down to get to the other items. But only the first time, and only if the "Chapters and Sections" menu item itself has never been opened.
No Chrome here, so I can't see what it does in Chrome.

Is this still an issue?

Nope. All better now.

The General options Show member profile popups? setting continues to get checked even though I clear it and save it time after time after time.
But more irritatingly, the
<br />
Default Paste options Paste Text only<br />
Paste Text + encode HTML<br />
Paste as HTML<br />
Paste as Code block<br />
Use the best guess<br />
setting keeps getting set to something other than Paste Text only .
Yes, I like having URLs automatically link-ified, that's great, but that's it, for anything else, please don't mess with it, I'll format it as I see fit after I paste it.
These settings should be altered only via the user setting and saving them in the proper UI.
Please don't waste my time and kill my groove by doing things I have already told you I don't want you to do.

I'll get it sorted.
I certainly don't want to be wasting your time.

I had posted an article and a tip using my account farhanshahsyed110@gmail.com. I had submitted each of them for publishing, only once. But out of nowhere an email arrived in my inbox with the description, "Content has been posted that is spam 10 times and is now deactivated." Isn't there enough accountability for the person who deactivates any account, aren't there any checks? I would have updated my article and tip under the supervision of some moderator but closure of my account has frustrated me a lot. I never posted anything more than once. PLEASE. RESTORE. THE. ACCOUNT.

Thank you for restoring it Chris!
However, I am disappointed by the way your community member behave. They are very disrespectful as it can be noticed by the attached screenshot. [Screenshot].
Thank you for looking into this.

On the contrary: Our community is extremely protective of what we, collectively, have built here. We are constantly having spammers and scammers try and post material here and the community works tirelessly to remove inappropriate material.
Our posting guidelines are clear. PIEBALDconsult's comment was a reaction to your demanding tone. It's Sunday afternoon here in North America so a little patience goes a long way.

In Spam&Abuse I wrote two times a message "gone" after the subject got 10 Points.
When upvoting the one who reported the spamer I upvoted mistakenly my "gone message" and received two times 24 rep Points.
1.) Spammer from moderation queue (Anapouela3)
2.) Spammer from moderation (Member 13355266)
Second one was only to check whether this is reproducible.
I think this is not what you planned.
BTW: Also this message I could upvote. So please do 0x01AA.Rep-= 3*24

Upvoting your own message is fine.
It's better than having people create sock-puppet accounts to do the same.

Yeah. They would do that - and by now, have like a million rep points. Maybe close to two million!

It was other before some month. And I think puppets will be introduced to upvote Q/A-A and not for upvote own comments

I recently had a message posted on my article which is obvious spam.
You can see the message at:
spammy message link[^]
I marked it as spam but I have no idea what that does.
Will the system delete the message? I think it should but I've never seen a result of setting a message as spam and I'm curious.
Also, the other day a particular person replied with the following and I marked it as trolling, but nothing happened. Why is that? Check out that message and see what you think.
Why doesn't CP delete a trolling message like that?
Edit - previously wrong link
The Lounge[^]
Note: I hope this is the correct forum to mention this -- not sure.

Each time a message, an article, or even a member is reported, the reports are tallied until they hit a threshold. If they reach that threshold a message is sent internally and that item will be closed and the account that posted it (or the member itself) will be closed.
It's about getting a group consensus.

That's what I thought. Now allow me to make a suggestion.
Please change that from group consensus.
You should add to the algorithm that also includes :
+ how many articles the person (who reports) has written)
+ how many previous days in a row they've logged in
+ overall reputation
Or, you could simply grant someone who is has obviously been heavily invested in the site with the power that when they mark a message as spam or trolling it is then deleted. Obviously, if a message is then deleted improperly the original message owner can petition.
This will allow you to get rid of messages the same way cities must be vigilant about getting rid of graffiti. Cities know if they just paint over it and keep painting over it, the offenders stop.
That's what I want with this system. The person who posted this message ( The Lounge[^] ) should've had it deleted immediately to send the message that s/he cannot use the forum that way.
The obvious spam is going to stay on my article for a long time because no one else is going to read that comment.
That's my two cents. thanks,
