First off, sorry if this is a repost.
Now, to the bug.
It seems that whenever I clear my search filter, after a short amount of time it gets reset.
Is this some kind of bug or am I missing something completely obvious?

Site wide. I set a filter in my profile some time ago, and if I delete it, it will soon reappear.

I'm not seeing any filter set in your profile, but it does look like you've selected "VB developer" on the homepage. Is "VB" the filter you keep seeing?

EDIT: I haven't replied until today because of finals (I finished last week), moving out, and the fact that GMail is acting strange (Giving me server errors).

Another thing, if I select something else (like C#) on the homepage, a filter for that will be set.

This is by design.
The topic you choose on the homepage is assumed to be what you want the site to be filtered by.

It's been deprecated. We had all sorts of plans for it but we never had the time to give them justice.

Hi
I've added blog feed and I have one post marked with CodeProject category but unfortunately no blog entry was discovered after blog feed pull.
Can you give me some reasons why this is happening?
I use BlogEngine.NET 2.0.0.36.
EDIT:
Things just got more weird...
I received an email saying that my feed was consumed and one article was found. But when I checked it on CodeProject site I got this info: "No articles found for this Technical Blog."

In BlogEngine it is quite easy to have clean markup provided that you remember to never copy text from formatted sources, such as browser or Word, directly to post editor. If you copy formatted text, some crazy, wild and messy things will be lurking in your HTML

The link you posted works, but I'm talking about other location...
I open "Member Pages" > "Blog feeds". Then I click on the name of my feed, that click takes me here: http://www.codeproject.com/script/Articles/BlogArticleList.aspx?afid=3970[^]
On this page I get the info "No articles found for this Technical Blog." - which is misleading, cause as you discovered yourself there are some posts pulled from my feed.

I see. You can get to it by going here[^], clicking on the 'Technical Blogs' tab, and selecting the blog.
Not sure why it doesn't show up in the other place.

Is there a release statement on the FB and G+ links at the top? I'm curious if it automatically posts all our CP comments to those two sites if we add them. A quick summary of what they do would be appreciated.

Agreed. Looking at the App description on facebook doesn't tell me anything about what this is going to do other than consume my personal information and make posts on my behalf. What *exactly* are you going to be posting to my account if I use this feature?

We are adjusting the UI on this becuase we agree that it's not as intuitive as we want. If you hover over the icons you'll see the tooltip that says "Link Facebook account", but that tooltip isn't enough.
When you're logged in those icons won't appear, and instead we'll have links on your Settings page that allows you to link your Facebook and Google+ accounts to your CodeProject account so you can login to CodeProject using Facebook and Google.
There's no automatic post to Facebook or Google+.

What is the purpose in doing this? A new member still needs to sign up here and then link his FB/G+ account, right? So what does he gain?

No. A new member can sign in using Facebook or Google+ and an account is setup for them, and linked to their FB/G+ account automatically. It's all seamless.
If, after logging in via FB/G+, we find a CP account with the same email address we let you to link them up. The purpose of having the links on the settings page is to allow existing members to link up FB/G+ accounts under a different email address.
