For last few months I have a problem with viewing the site where images are not loading. The problem is intermittent and persists on both my go-to browser Firefox and Edge. No blockers are installed in both browsers.
Here are couple quick examples from both browsers:
Firefox
Edge
Here's what Edge's error console is showing:

There was an issue in Chromium that when a connection timed out while an item was in the process of being received, then the browser could report this error. I'm not sure of the status of the fix for this one.
What OS are you running?
What versions of the browsers are you using?
What is the speed of your internet connection?
Have you been having issues with your internet service?

Win 10
Latest of both: Firefox 87.0, Edge 90.0.818.42
No problems with internet.
Adequate speed 100Mb+
Haven't had such issues with other sites - just Codeproject

Do you have any ad blockers like ABPlus or uBlock? Any rules that prevent content from Fastly being requested?

Hi Chris,
Hmm. I do have couple of plugins installed in Firefox but no ad blockers. However this issue is happening in Private mode as well which does not load plugins. It also happens on Edge which has no plugins at all.
Actually, I just tried browsing from another Windows laptop and experienced no such issue on it. So this must be some problem with my primary machine. Strange. I don't know what it can be caused by and why only Codeproject. I haven't noticed issues with other sites.

Thanks for checking back.
Do you have anything blocking specific sites such as hosts file entries or firewall / router rules on that machine?

Nothing. And that's why it is strange

It seems that a user with rep 0 for messages show as Under Water in the profile page. Like following example
Articles 0
Tech Blogs 0
Messages 0 (Under Water)
Q&A Questions 1
Q&A Answers 0
Tips/Tricks 0
Reference 0
Projects 0
Comments 0
Shouldn't the limit be less that zero?

There were some users that went in a couple of hundred in negative points.
They were the "not so loved" posting guys.
I think it might be a useful thing to see from time to time.

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

That's what I suspected
Can't remember who was the one I copy pasted in the initial question, but for example this profile Tshumore - Professional Profile
One message having a vote of 5, rep for messages 0 and under water... Can't see the reason why?
When checking the bio for a person before answering I quite often run into this kind of statistics, especially for newcomers.

Just to let you know, here's another example mrinalbh - Professional Profile
In Summary section all badges with zero are 'Under water' and on the right side in the vertical list, zero messages but still under water...
But as said, it's not a big deal

For the interim, I have removed the asterisks.

I just got "direct message" spam from a member called "davidfw" so I have his email (mercierdias3@outlook.com for all you spambots), and could sign him up to some ... interesting ... sites, but I'd kinda like to report him here as well.
But I can't find a way to search by username if he hasn't posted anything, and the "who's who" is limited to the first 1000 pages (out of 741,747) ...
Could the direct message email include a link to the member homepage as well as the response email address to make it easier ?

Working OK for me in Firefox:
Has Chrome updated recently?

Interesting.
No, Chrome is running the same version on Desktop and my Surface - but my Surface is showing the ads and my desktop isn't ...
Both use uBlock, both have Kaspersky IS, both on same internet connection / router / ISP.
Both running same version of Win10: 20H2 19042.867
Bingo! That was it: Kaspersky enabled Anti-banner on the desktop but not the Surface (don't know why. I haven't changed its settings for ages). Disabled for CP, ads restored.

Can that be added so it's obvious that it's TypeScript, not Javascript?
(Or am I just not seeing that option, haha)

G'day guys.
Long time CodeProject fan and consumer, new producer here. I've recently created a proper account to use and linked my blog's RSS feed to it, so the articles that I publish on my blog are syndicated to CodeProject, which is great.
I recently received an email from an editor (who I won't name, to respect their privacy) mentioning some edits to the post. They asked me to review the edits and let them know if I have any problems.
The email itself says it comes from an unattended mailbox though, and looking at the editor's profile, I don't see any means of contacting them for clarification. To be clear, their edits are fine - it's just somewhat frustrating and confusing not to be even able to say _thanks for the edits, all looking good now!_ I suspect I'm not seeing the feature since this is a new account, but I'm not sure. If so, it'd be good to actually see some indication of that, like _you need x reputation to send a message_. Though I'm not sure I agree about that policy anyway.
I guess this is both a question and a suggestion. Was my assumption correct, in that I can't send a private message due to not having enough reputation? If so, I suggest we re-think that, since it's somewhat frustrating for new users. I have no way to reply to edits made to an article now. Instead, you could perhaps not allow unverified accounts to send messages.
Sorry for my rambling!
Cheers,
Jason.
