What is the difference between mfd vs rwd

Hi Team,

May i know what is the diff b/w MFD and RWD. why bootstrap so called mfd and rwd.

1. If bootstrap mfd then it will work to desktop are not.
2. How it is applicable for both in bootstrap.

With the growing trend of smart phones and tablets, it has become almost unavoidable to ignore the optimization of sites for mobile devices. Responsive web design is a preferable alternative and an efficient way to target a wide range of devices with much less efforts."

So bootstrap is not about responsive design on a mobile or desktop, but rather about responsive design to a wide variety of different screen resolutions.
