Regular Expression problem with understanding it

Hello,
I spent a day reading about regular expression in javascript, but i am very weak in it.
I want please some1 who can write me a regular expression for email pattern and explain it step by step.
if you explain in your own words, i am sure i can understand, the language of the article is difficult

Solution 2

Get a copy of Expresso [^] - it's free, and it examines and generates Regular expressions.

It also has an expression library which includes an email checker, and deciphers Regexes into English.
