Timer Use in Asp.net

Dear friends,
i want to use Timer Control in my Web Application.when user logs in to Web apps after logging through Login Form.
then on Home Page a timer should be displayed when he logs-in.
the log-in and log-out time should be captured in DB.
i want to know how the Timer control can be used in Web Apps.

Solution 1

The timer functionality that you would like to use is called a AJAX Timer in ASP.NET (like stian said).
