It depends on two things: what do you mean "running" and what do you mean by "user". I am serious. Do you use authentication? If a user loaded some page and went to lunch, is she/he using it or not?..

Hi,

you can make use of Page.User.IsInRole function.

check below links for that.
HttpContext.Current.User.IsinRole returns false[^]

Solution 2

Question is not clear. For environment user you can use

Environment.UserName

and check if that is what you want.
