SMTP email using vb.net windows app through proxy connection

Hi experts,

I am using smtp client of System.net.mail to send an email. Its working fine when I use direct connections, but when I use proxy. Its not working. Ihave not found any way to put my proxy server address and port and to recombine it with smtp.

Can any body help me out.

Solution 1

You will need to configure your proxy server to handle connections on port 25.

What proxy server are you using?

Solution 2

Exempt your smtp port 25 from your proxy. I think the firewall is blocking the mails. :thumbsup:
