With respect to the C# Special Functions, is what you call the "complemented incomplete gamma function" igamc(a,x) the same as what is also called the "lower incomplete gamma function"? That is, is it given by gamma(x)-igam(a,x)?

Since we have no idea what the "C# Special Functions" set you are using comes from (they are NOT part of standard C#) you should ask the provider of that library/package.

It's an article here on CP: Special Function(s) for C#

You should maybe ask the author of the function library: Special Function(s) for C#[^]. At the bottom of the article there is a discussion forum.
You could also download the source code and look at how he implemented that function.

My apologies. Thank you for the clarification and the re-direct. It would be a simple matter to just look at the code but I am not doing the actual software implementation of my project. I am not familiar with C+ and the like; the last coding I did was many years ago and it was Fortran 77 using the IMSL database. Fortunately, my colleagues have kept current.
