update image of image control in update panle on timer tick without fliker of images of web page?

i want update image from server on timer. On timer tick i update update panle for refresh image but it look with fliker . i want without flicker. how i can do?

WinForms application ?

How frequent are the updates ? Are you updating the BackGroundImage of a Panel, or a PictueBox in a Panel ? What size are the images ?

Solution 1

The most common technique to reduce flicker is "double buffering". Simply enabling the "double buffered" setting on your form might help. If that doesn't solve the problem then you will have to implement more advanced double-buffering.
