Hi! I'm from Poland. I don't know what means license CPOL. I tried to use Translate Google to translate it. But it doesn't help me. Can you tell me:
1. Can I use source on this license as part of my closed app?
2. If not, on what license can I publish this app?
I'm going to use it: [^]
Thanks for help. :)

Strange that you did not found the answer (more the information) with Google. E.g:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code_Project_Open_License[^]

CPOL: Code Project Open Licence

You can read it here: http://www.codeproject.com/info/cpol10.aspx[^]

You can use the code in your own applications, provided you don't remove the coprights etc. - it all in the link

Yes, provided you don't "file off the serial numbers" and claim it as your own.

If you are in any doubt at all, ask the author: there is a "Add a Comment or Question" button at the bottom of that article, which causes an email to be sent to them. If they say "yes, help yourself" then it doesn't matter what the CPOL says, as they have given you explicit permission.
CPOL stands for Code Project Open License[^].

In short, the following terms are governed by this license type:

Quote:
•Source Code and Executable Files can be used in commercial applications;
•Source Code and Executable Files can be redistributed; and
•Source Code can be modified to create derivative works.
•No claim of suitability, guarantee, or any warranty whatsoever is provided. The software is provided "as-is".
•The Article(s) accompanying the Work may not be distributed or republished without the Author's consent

As far as I see, you can use the code in your executable. But as a good practice, I would at least suggest you to link and provide comment that the source is on CP.
