get error in sending mail

from last two three days i get this error message althoug it was sending mail before no change in code.

The transport failed to connect to the server

The possible cause of this error is Smtp.Mail unable to locate your exchange server. Try checking the firewall for port 25 on which the Exchange server is configured.

Also, first try setting
SmtpMail.SmtpServer="localhost";
on the development machine. It should work.

Further, try specifying IP Address instead of name in SmtpServer property.
