I just downloaded the msi and tried to install it; I hadn't installed .NET framework yet (new PC), so I visited the microsoft site and they offered .NET framework 4; assuming backwards compatibility I installed it.
The Desktop Alarm Clock installation keeps asking for 3.5, however. This might be an issue with framework 4 or with the application - I can't be sure. Just thought I'd mention it.

The hot keys stops my other hot keys functioning.
I don't think user will need hotkeys a lot for the alarm.
How about leave all hotkeys binding to nothing before they get set?

I agree. That's been my only real complaint about your Clock. That, and the lack of a Snooze feature.

Well, you can set the hotkeys whatever you want from the options window, but I think your sugestion is valid. I will change it in the first update in the near future. Thanks for the sguestion.

Hi Victor,
I have updated the application and by default the hot keys are set to none. Also added notify updates feature so it is worth to update the app. The application can be downloaded from this link: Desktop Alarm Clock

Hi Dyma,
Thank you for reporting about the bug. I was able to recreate it and have it fixed. The current version is 2.0.0.2. This version has fixes to two bugs. I also added some additional features to the elements’ linear and hatch brushes. I have submitted the updated version to the Code Project’s submission department. Meanwhile you can download the latest version of the application from the External Link I have provided in this article.
Thanks again and best regards,
VBDT

It will be good to add transparency (0-100%)

Hi Dmitry,
Thank you for your suggestion. I think it is a valid point and therefore I added that feature to the clock. The new version is 2.0.0.3 and it is available through the external link I provided. I don’t think I would update it in here just for this if there are no other bug fixes to it; it is a little bit time taking process to update in the Code Projects. It seems there are endless features that can be added to the clock Anyway, thank you again!
Best regards,
VBDT

Could you make a Windows Vista gadget out of it? Just a thought

Very nice application. Suggested addition for the options menu: "stay always on top" function such that one can always see the clock, similar to the Windows Task Manager window.

Hi Rolf, the clock has that future since some one else suggested it and I added to the clock. The new version of the clock is 1.0.4.4 and you can download it from the external link.

I have a problem adding a new event and changing the time.
I'm italian and time format is HH:MM instead of HH.MM
When I try to change the time part of the event date/time, the format switch from mm/dd/yyyy HH.MM to mm/dd/yyyy HH:MM (in edit mode) and, when changed and confirmed, a message appears about the string having a bad format for date/time.
Is it a localization problem ? Could the application support locales date/time format (for example dd/mm/yyyy HH:MM, in Italy).
A cool application, however.

It seems the problem is about the date part. Italy locale date format is dd/mm/yyyy instead of mm/dd/yyyy which leads to misinterpretation.

Hi, the problem is fixed as well as some minor corrections have been done to the clock. The application is updated to the version 1.0.4.2 and can be downloaded from the external link. Happy New Year to everyone!

This is a really cool clock.
The app should have "Always on Top" option; otherwise, every time, I like to see the time, need to iconify all other apps.
Thanks.

Hi Eric, hopefully this is the last update I am going to make The application is updated and a property is added in the option window that will make the clock top most window. The new version is 1.0.3.2 and you can download it from the external link provided in this article.

Hello,
When running on my vista 64-bit machine I get the infamous jet error. (Jet is not available on 64-bit windows and never will be.) If you compile your app to target the x86 processors in the advanced compiler options of VS then this error will go away and should run on any proc. Can you do that? Or could I get source so I could do it? I could not find a way to get source code.
Regards
