Introduction

We live in an ever competitive market today. Companies desirous of being immortal in such a cut-throat competition today take their brands very seriously. Brand building and reputation management has always been a major focus of corporations aiming to get bigger with time.

Bradoo would be such a platform which would help businesses steer ahead of the competition by helping them monitor their local online presence.  A dealer, an agency or a company would be able to check and analyze the reviews posted  by customers/fans for the company online; see and analyze all the chat about it as shown on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Youtube, Linkedin); also see their local reach over the internet vis-a-vis their competitors.

With Brandoo the business can also check its keyword effectiveness, SERP movement and social signals to monitor its positioning with respect to the keyword.

Brandoo would fetch all the business reviews from various search engine, analyze the results and present information on reviews, chats and reach on a dashboard.

How Windows Azure will be Used

Windows Azure would be extensively used in Networking, Business Analytics, Messaging, Caching, Identity, High-Performance Computing (HPC), Media, Commerce and SDKs for our product ‘Brandoo’. Azure would be very helpful in our being able to scale our database on demand on SQL Azure. It would also enable us to scale our applications through its scalable website component.

Background

The ideas presented here do not need a background.

Using the code

Brandoo is a web application. Various technologies would be used in brandoo viz. Spring, Struts, Hibernate, Jsp, Core Java and Ajax. Spring would be used to handle the beans management. Struts and Jsp technology would be used to develop front end i.e User Interface and for validating the Input Fields.

Hibernate technology would be employed for Data Base Management while Core Logic and Business Logic of Brandoo would be written in Core Java.

Points of Interest

As I kept thinking of the product and coding it, I kept getting on how the product be used more effectively. I saw that Brandoo could help business in:

Local Competition Analysis

Brandoo would measures the online marketing effectiveness of a given location by analyzing its online visibility and reputation, and benchmarking its performance against other local competitors.

Online Brand reputation Management

Bradoo could get deeper into the web and social media to find mentions of the brand thus allowing business to see how its reputation is changing online (as can be seen through reviews and ratings) and what it needs to do to either rebrand it, protect it or change it.

SERP movement for ‘your’ keywords

The keywords you choose to identify and brand your business can be checked for its effectiveness through periodic SERP movements across various search engines viz. Google, Yahoo, and Bing.

Social Media Analysis and Management

Further, Brandoo could be used to monitor and manage chats by it and about it on various social sites.

History

The idea came to me while I was going through various reviews on internet to buy my first car.
