You can find the documentation on WMI at Windows Management Instrumentation (Windows)[^], but it is not the easiest to navigate. Google seems to find lots of sample code to get this information, although nearly all of the have problems. It may be easier to look for one of the existing command line tools, see WIFI Diagnostics from Windows 7 or Vista Command Prompt (by Tony Fortunato)[^].
